The fireplace was warm; however, we had to use it for supplementary heat, due to the main heat is controlled at the main house and you have no control of the thermostat. So to regulate the temperature you had to regulate the fireplace. The room can use a good take off the market for one day and receive a good old fashion deep clean. It is not that you can’t stay in the cabin it is do I want to pay this price for a cabin and be rustic or just have Rustic in the name an expect the cabin to be cleaned. There was dust everywhere and I’m not talking about light dust you can expect from day to day. I mean thick 1year build up. The shower was gross, once I turned the shower on with in about 30 seconds a terrible smell was wafting out of the bathroom. It took me a good 10 minutes to figure out what was going on. Finally I figured out that it was the shower because when the water hit the bottom of the shower it activated whatever scum that has not been cleaned. You could and still can see it in the shower. The floors need to be mopped I spilled some water on the bathroom floor and when I cleaned it up with a paper towel the paper towel was black dirty.The host has always be very nice and professional. The parking was right in front of the cabin. Parking was easy and we felt safe.
