Back in the day, the Litch Hotel had 11 apartments and just one bathroom on the 2nd floor (can you imagine?! 😅), but don’t worry — times have definitely changed! Now, you’ll have your very own private bathroom and kitchen, so no awkward run-ins while you’re making that midnight snack 🍕. The entryway outside your unit is the only shared space, so feel free to get cozy and relax however you like — no one’s around to judge your Netflix binges or late-night PJs! 😎🛋️

Our kitchen is as functional as it is stylish. Brand-new appliances, including a Keurig coffee maker, blender, and toaster, meet every guest's needs. Quartz countertops provide ample prep space, and with 16 spices and olive oil, your meals will be anything but bland.

The front door opens to a small, shared vestibule with our neighboring unit, "Sacajawea." No worries! There's plenty of on-street parking around the block, and in over a year of hosting, no guest has ever had trouble finding a convenient spot.

Joseph is just a short 10-minute drive away for those wanting a taste of small-town fun or the beauty of Wallowa Lake! 🚙🌲
Wallowa Lake is about 15 minutes by car, and trust us, it’s worth the trip for a day of lakeside adventures. 🛶🎣
Need supplies? No worries — the grocery store is just a stone’s throw away. Perfect for stocking up on snacks or dinner essentials. 🍔🍫
Parking? Easy peasy! Free parking is right outside, so no need to stress about finding a spot.

UNIT DETAILS & POLICIES

🔊 NOISE – PLEASE READ
The Litch is a historic building without modern soundproofing. You will hear neighbors above, below, and next door, as well as footsteps on the stairs and in the hallways. The Litch is a great fit for couples, families, and friends looking for a relaxing home base after exploring Wallowa County. It is not the right place for a bachelor party or a loud group. Most guests are considerate, but occasionally a noisy neighbor checks-in. Please keep noise down, especially during quiet hours (10:00 PM – 8:00 AM).

🧸 CHILDREN
Families are welcome, but because sound travels so easily, the Litch isn't ideal for children under 8. Running, jumping, and playing can be heard clearly by neighboring guests. If you're traveling with young children, please consider whether the Litch is the right fit, and help them keep noise levels down during your stay.

🪟 VENTILATION
The windows in this unit do not open. To keep things comfortable, the unit has a ductless mini-split (AC and heat), a ceiling fan, and an air purifier.

🐾 PET-FRIENDLY UNIT
Guests with and without pets stay in this unit, so we can't guarantee a dander-free space. Please keep this in mind if you have dog or cat allergies.

🐶 BRINGING A PET?
• Maximum of 2 pets. Please let us know at booking or as soon as plans change.
• $30 per night per pet (non-refundable), including emotional support animals.
• Pets must be leashed in common areas, kept off furniture and beds, and never left alone in the unit.
• Please clean up after your pet. Supplies for indoor accidents are under the kitchen sink.
• Guests are financially responsible for any damage caused by their pets. Eagle Cap Vacation Rentals is not liable for pet-related injuries or damage.

The Smart TV is ready for you to log in to your own apps (Netflix, Hulu, Prime, Disney+, etc.). There is no cable or local channels. For live TV, you'll need a service like Sling, Fubo, or YouTube TV.

🛌 BEDS
Medium-firm memory foam mattresses. Most guests love them, and a few find them on the firm side.

🔑 CHECK-IN: After 3:00 PM
• Free early check-in: Call after 12:30 PM on your arrival day. If the unit is ready before 3:00, we're happy to let you in early.
• Guaranteed early check-in: $20/hour, as early as 1:00 PM (arrange in advance).

⏰ CHECK-OUT: By 11:00 AM
Late check-out is sometimes available at $20/hour.
