„Quaint 1970s style wooden building nicely decorated - they even had a turntable and albums (in addition to the bluetooth speaker). The upstairs loft overlooking the living room is just as pictured. The bed was comfy if the pillows could use an update; they were a bit too flat and lumpy for our liking but it's really our only complaint. „Our stay at Steve's cottage last week was nothing short of magical. The highlight, without a doubt, was the **absolutely spectacular sunset view over Penn Lake, right from the private dock. But the Cottage needs more cleaning (the fridge was dirty, we found rotten tomatos in it, neded to clean first), found Mouse droppings under the kitchen sink, mouse bites in our Toast. „Such a secluded cute place. Lake is a 5 min hike more than a walk but easily done. Felt great being alone on the property and the lake. Bugs were really bag but to be expected as a heavily wooded area.“

„5 of us stayed at the house and it was a great choice to book here. Check in was easy, the house had plenty of space for us to all sit at the table or in the lounge room. The kitchen had most everything needed (measuring cups would be my suggestion). Everything was very clean, bathrooms were well stocked. No complaints at all. Loved the fire pit even though it rained. „We loved our stay at Methven Cottage. The property is beautiful and stacked with stuff to do everything you could want to do on a wonderful vacation. While it did get very uncomfortable due to the heat, that is to be expected in an older property without air conditioning. The owners were also very accomodating and even sent up a plumber to deal with out kitchen sink problem. They were incredibly helpful to our joyous experience.“
