It’s clean, well cared for, and built around the things that actually matter on a family trip: plenty of beds, plenty of space to spread out, and an easy drive to get here.

It’s clean, well cared for, and built around the things that actually matter on a family trip: plenty of beds, plenty of space to spread out, and an easy drive to get here.

Why families love it

• Room for everyone. Multiple bedrooms with a mix of king, queen, and bunk setups — perfect for parents, kids, cousins, and grandparents all under one roof.

• Space to actually hang out. Big common areas made for shared meals, board games, movie nights, and lazy mornings in pajamas.

• Kid-friendly, worry-free. Simple, classic finishes mean you can relax and let little ones be little ones — no precious décor to tiptoe around.

• Short hop to Carter Lake. The beach is a quick trip away for swimming, splashing, and burning off that vacation energy.

• Easy to get to. No white-knuckle mountain drive here. Regular, well-maintained roads all the way in — bring the sedan, the minivan, or the SUV without a second thought.

Hilltop Haven is a classic, older family home — not a brand-new luxury build. If you’re looking for high-end designer finishes or a boutique-hotel feel, this probably isn’t the right match, and we’d hate for you to be disappointed. But if you want a welcoming, no-fuss home where kids can be kids, everyone has room to breathe, and the focus is on time together, you’re going to love it here.

We’ve enjoyed this home with our own family for years, and we simply ask that you treat it with the same care so the next family can enjoy it too.

Other Things to Note:

HOUSE RULES

Booking guest must be at least 25 years old and stay at the property for the entire reservation.



Maximum guest count must not exceed the number on the reservation, including children and infants. No unregistered overnight guests.



No parties or events. Family gatherings and quiet celebrations with registered guests only.



Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am out of respect for neighbors. No loud music, yelling, or outdoor noise during these times.



No smoking, vaping, anywhere on the property! No illegal substances inside the home or on the property



No pets are allowed at any time. Bringing a pet to the property is a violation of the house rules and may result in additional cleaning fees and cancellation of the reservation.



No moving heavy furniture or disconnecting/rewiring electronics, Wi‑Fi equipment, or TVs.



Use the home and its contents with care. Report any damage or issues immediately so we can address them. Guests are responsible for any damage caused during their stay.



Only use designated parking areas. Do not block neighbors’ driveways or access. No RVs, campers, or trailers without prior approval.



No open flames indoors (candles, incense, etc.). Observe any local fire bans or restrictions.



Check‑out procedures must be followed: start the dishwasher (if there are dirty dishes), take trash to the designated bins, turn off lights, and lock all doors and windows.



Do not access locked owner’s closets or storage areas. These are for owner use only.



This is a classic, older family home. If you’re expecting a brand‑new, high‑end luxury property, this may not be the best fit. Please book with that in mind and treat the home respectfully. We have enjoyed it for years and want you to feel the same comfortable environment we have for our family
