I was very disappointed with my stay at Suncadia Resort.
When we arrived, we discovered that our room did not have a stove or a microwave. Because of this, we decided to change rooms. At the front desk, the receptionist told us the updated cost would be $40, and I’m confident that call was recorded.
However, when it was time to check out, I was shocked to receive a bill for $168. They charged $40 per day, plus $40 per day in taxes, along with additional fees. We were later told that because we booked through Expedia and not directly with the resort, these extra charges applied.
This was never clearly explained to us at check-in. If we had been informed upfront, we would have chosen to leave instead. The lack of transparency was very frustrating and left a bad impression.
Overall, this experience was disappointing, and unfortunately, we will not be returning.
