Just a few steps away is a lovely local pub The Beeley Inn serving delicious food (the ox cheek is to die for,) agreeably it’s not cheap but you get what you pay for. Ideal for a special treat.“

„The room is immaculate, there are nice touches like ground coffee and a french press, first time I have had this even in £500+ a night rooms. There is plenty of free parking on the street outside.
The only thing to be mindful of is that there is a big step both into the room and the bathroom for those with reduced mobility like myself - this is in addition to the 6 steps i was aware of. Die Zimmer sind nur ein wenig müde. Alles funktionierte und war sauber, aber das Dekor und die Einrichtung sind in die Jahre gekommen. Das Frühstück war gut und im Vergleich zu dem, was man im Stadtzentrum bekommt, recht günstig."

Went there first on a rushed business trip and went back half a year later to enjoy it finally with my partner. The pool is warm and not exactly for a sporty swimmer, but is nice with the opportunity to swim outdoors. Beds and Breakfast are excellent and up to the price. After finding the south of England more and more crowded, the Peak District is an area I was happy to discover."

The restaurant facilities can’t be worse: at opening time of the restaurant we ordered food and 10 minutes later you are told to order something else because they ran out of it. As we had chosen something else, the response was: “Is THAT all, you want nothing else?” In a very arrogant way. Then they even expect a tip afterwards. During Checkout, the receptionists were unable to produce an invoice. I wanted to know how much and for what I would be charged. This was the wrong question as the receptionist in jogging-trousers became very unfriendly. This is not what I’m used to experience in a Hilton Hotel!"
