„Dirt roads to lodging very rough in spots. Driveway to property is downhill is a dirt road in poor condition. I did not want to risk damaging my rental car by driving up and down that driveway another 6 days.Also, the bed was very uncomfortable for me. I had no intention of sleeping in that bed for another 6 days, so I left.“

„La Bonita is a spacious very comfortable stay. The full bath in stone is beautiful, towels plentiful and soft. The kitchen has a large refrigerator and is well equipped. The host resolved two small problems immediately. Communication by texting went very well. The driveway is a little rough. Taking your heavy bag to the second floor bedroom requires some effort.“

„The perfect escape from humid E Texas. Great weather. Coffee on the patio every morning in sweats and shorts after brunch. Lazy drive to shopping/dining (is NM doing a passive aggressive protest of TX speed limits?), so stock up since you won’t want to leave anyway. „Go to bed at sunset, get up at sunrise. No noisy alarms, rest in your sleeping bag on top of the mattress, build a fire in the old cast-iron stove if needed, wave at your neighbor, but leave them alone. Great sky views, Perhaps especially at night. Zillions of stars come out. Highly recommended place for a solo retreat, as I took.“

„Lovely home in a beautiful place. We enjoyed the screened porch and the bedrooms with their own bathrooms were perfect for our 3 adult children and their partners. It was a great "home base" for visiting our friends in Abiquiu and at Ghost Ranch, shopping in Santa Fe, and hiking at Bandelier and in the Carson National Forest. „It’s a pretty isolated property. Lots of peace and serenity. The kids did dogs and s’mores after building a campfire. If you have a Tesla this probably isn’t the best place. Taos does not have a supercharger and the closest one is in Sante Fe. Actually I would stay away from Taos all together if you have a Tesla. Other than that ( it’s not the property fault) the place was great. Had a neat hiking trail, fire pit, some neat art work in the typical New Mexico vibe. If you love nature this is a ...
