As our guesthouses do not have on-site parking or a reception, we’ve outlined convenient parking options nearby to ensure a seamless stay. Please note that Edinburgh’s city centre is subject to parking restrictions, including the Low Emission Zone (LEZ), so always check your vehicle’s compliance to avoid penalties.
PARKING OPTION: On-Street Pay and Display Parking bay:
The City of Edinburgh Council manages pay-and-display parking bays near both guest houses. These bays are located along major streets in the New Town, including George Street, Queen Street, Heriot Row and surrounding areas.
Metered hours:
- Monday to Saturday: 8:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
- Sunday: 12:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
- Maximum stay: Usually 2 hours during metered hours (please check signage for exact limits).
Free parking (outside metered hours):
- Monday to Saturday: 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 a.m. (next day)
- Saturday to Sunday: 6:30 p.m. – 12:30 p.m.
- Sunday to Monday: 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 a.m.
Important Note: When using pay-and-display parking bays, please ensure you park in the correct bay and do not park in bays marked for permit holders only, as this may result in a fine.
