„This is a splendid old house, bang next to Dryburgh Abbey, which is a magical place. The hotel has character, the staff are lovely, and the rooms large, if a little old-fashioned. The bed was very comfortable. Only the food in the restaurant-bar was slightly disappointing, particularly as one of us is vegetarian, which made the choice very limited. We would still love to return.“

„Hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly. However, it was a very old hotel and the breakfast was not good at all. It’s good to stay a night but not for a week as we did. Charling village but no good restaurant nearby.“
