„Die Lage des Bay Horse Inn ist nicht zentral, aber mit öffentl. Verkehrsmittel (Bus) gut und günstig erreichbar! Die Unterkunft ist einfach und sauber. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt! Sehr freundlicher Service! Einfaches kontinentales Frühstück - gegen Aufpreis (4 Pfund ) englisch. Wir waren absolut zufrieden !“

„This was a very nice comfortable place. We had a little trouble finding it. Was easy to check in and out of. The only suggestion I would make was to put the exterior patio lights on a timer so that they turn off at night— if it’s hot and you have the window open then you have all the light from the patio. But it was very clean and comfortable.“

„Lovely tranquil location amidst countryside, easy drive to nearby places of interest. Dog friendly. Well equipped kitchen, bathroom and cosy living room and bedroom with all amenities to make this a great home from home stay for a couple of days. Warm welcome, friendly, attentive service from Hilary and staff. 1 minute walk to cafe for excellent breakfast, which we ate outdoors in sunshine. Excellent value, with the bonus of a free pass to Beamish Museum, which saved us 50. Short drive / walk to ...

„Had a lovely time staying here for a few days. We had a couple of places we had on our bucket list and this was a good base. Didn’t get a chance to see the arch near by by as it was raining. Only advise would be to have a sign where the holiday homes are as we used the postcode and nav took us to road down the road. Thank you for loaning us your pass for the Beamish Living Museum, had a lovely day even though we got a little wet. “

„The property was large and was a good base to use being about 20 minutes from a beach and about 10 minutes walk from a park with swings etc for the grandchildren. It was about 5 minutes drive from an Aldi and Lidl. “

„The cottage had been beautifully renovated and was located centrally in the old district of town. A couple of small things would have improved the stay-the stairs to the second storey were steep and a bannister rail would have been appreciated, several basic supply items were lacking- no tea bags or fire lighters to light the kindling and wood supplied, and the heating automatically turned off after short periods and not all heaters appeared to be working. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.“

„Absolutely brilliant cottage. All new fixtures and fittings with everything you could need for your stay. The drains smell came and went- not sure where it came from and it didn’t really bother us. Location fantastic for walks along the coast and short drive to other coastal towns. Would recommend“

„Our stay at this property was so bad that we actually left after the first night there. We were not provided with any check in information and had to ring the property owner to find out how to get into the property just before we arrived. We arrived with our dog and 3 month old daughter and were shocked to find food (melted cheese) dropped onto trays in the oven and sauce splattered in the microwave. I had to clean the kitchen and all items on arrival and all surfaces felt grubby and unclean. ...

„This was a great property for our family to have rented as it was spacious and had all the amenities that we needed. Lovely location within walking distance of the beautiful sandy beach and local shops. Would definitely recommend this property and destination to overs. “

"Grosses, schönes Hotel an optimaler Lage beim Bahnhof. Grosszügiges Zimmer mit sehr bequemen Betten. Leider war es Nachts sehr heiss und das Fenster konnte nicht genügend geöffnet werden, damit etwas kühlere Luft ins Zimmer gelangt. Das Bad war gross mit genügend Ablagefläche und Möglichkeiten die Duschtücher aufzuhängen. Leider lief der Duschtuchwärmer die ganze Nacht und konnte nicht abgestellt werden ( und es war eben schon sehr heiss im Zimmer). Der Wasserhahn ist so am Lavabo angebracht, dass man sich nicht die Hände waschen kann und Wasser über das Lavabomöbel läuft. Wir liessen unsere Duschtücher, wie vom Hotel mittels angebrachtem Zettel vorgeschlagen hängen, so dass wir sie nochmals benützen können, aber das funktionierte leider nicht, alles wurde gewechselt. Das Frühstücksbuffet war teuer, aber sehr reichhaltig. Alle vom Personal waren sehr nett."
