„Four of us (two adults and two grown kids) stayed for five nights over the holiday weekend. The location of this property right on the Duck/Southern Shores boundary was just great. Sunset views of the bay were great and the ocean was a short walk or drive away. The property was very clean. We are used to renting homes that are a little more lived in, so the lack of games and puzzles (and basic cooking necessities like salt and pepper) threw us a bit. „Perfect beach cottage on the water to fit us and another couple. Kitchen was very well stocked with any and every gadget needed! Outdoor area is perfect, pool, ping pong table, corn hole boards, hot tub, pier, kayaks, outdoor shower, and extra bathroom (which was a nice surprise)! Owner communicated well and was super easy to get in touch with, although nothing extra was needed. “

„We absolutely loved our stay at ocean hideaway. The location was amazing, ease of access to the beach with the golf cart was perfect. We loved being right across the street from the boardwalk and hustle and bustle of duck. Katy checked in and communicated quickly and efficiently with and questions we had. Highly recommend this property to those looking to get a taste of what the outer banks has to offer. Thank you for a wonderful stay!“

„We checked in Friday afternoon. The process was very smooth and aligned with the instructions we received. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances that we utilized all week. We cooked every meal as the kitchen was great for my bride l niece who is going into her second year of culinary in high school. The bedrooms and bathroom are exactly as pictured. The kids loved the pool table and other games. The view and access to the beach was chef's kiss. “

„Great property for our short getaway! Had everything we needed! Centrally located to some of our favorite spots. Paved walkway right across the street from the house was great for daily walks. Beautiful sound views nearby. Bed was comfy. Clean space. Very soundproof so barely heard any outside noise. Nice shower! Plenty of towels and washcloths and other necessities. Host was super quick responding to messages and had clear instructions and helpful tips. We’ll be back! “

„We were so lucky to find Sound Serenity when our previously scheduled home was canceled a week & a half before our trip. Even though we weren’t right on the beach, the home was an easy 12 minute walk to the beach for sunrise and 5 minute walk to the sound for sunset. The home was beautifully decorated and very clean. I really appreciated the yoga room with some small weights for morning workouts. The back porch was perfect for morning coffee. Beds were very comfortable and shower in primary ...

„Arrived for the visit on a motorcycle on a misty day a couple hours early while waiting for my family to check the location. The homeowner was there finishing the clean and she allowed me to park my bike in the carport and have the property early.property has a nice sitting both inside and out. Only downside to the property is that the bedrooms do not have access directly to common area. back bedroom access is either through front bedroom or bath.“

"Awesome stay on the Outer Banks! Very clean appartement with ocean view, everything was good and the appartement had all one could ask for. Specisl mentioning deserves the gully equiped kitchen and the wonderful welcome package. Staff was super friendly especially in the evening st the checkin at the security gate and in tge office at checkout"

"The location is beautiful especially with the priveate beach access. Also the main building l9kks nice and well maintained. Our room was in one of the side buildings. There as soon as you leave the room itself it feels a bit dirty and worn down. The doors and walls in the hallway have bumps and scratches. The carpet is torn and has stains. But the worst are the stair cases. The windows are covered with spider webs and dead bugs. All of this could be avoided easily and would lead to a better impression."
