„The space was plenty roomy. With small children it was good to have separate spaces. The kitchen lacked a few things for full scale meal cooking (knives, sheet pans). A list of recommended take out and restaurants would be nice. Frank's pizza and the Chit Chat diner (go early!) were highlights.“

„We rented this house during a dance competition that was being held at a local high school. The competition was about 15 minutes away so this location fit perfectly. Upon checking into the house, we were very surprised at the amount of steps to get to the house and that that was not listed initial listing. „Overall the property inside was comfortable and spacious. The hosts was friendly and responsive. The property lists backyard (which was something we were looking forward with the 6 kids) but it was not useable. Area needs to be cleaned, space had construction materials and collection of broken appliances. “

„Completely redone/new. We think it may have just been done, because there were sparse kitchenware. Enough for two, and we managed to cook, but definitely needs an upgrade as far as pots, pans, utensils and dishware. Keep in mind there is no yard, so if you bring pets plan on going to Hopatcong State Park (three minute drive) to walk them. Also, it’s on a hill and the dock and lake are only accessible by many steep steps. “

„Pros - Great communication, central location in Madison. Cons - The house is run down, wasn't clean. Kitchen cupboards were literally dirty. Kitchen is very poorly stocked, not even paper towels. The House itself is old, unmaintained, and poorly decorated, lacking furniture and an inviting feeling. Lastly, if you are a light sleeper, you can hear the road and the shades in bedroom windows don't block light from coming in. “

„This was a wonderful place to visit with family. It was well stocked and very comfortable and just beautiful. Planning to come back again this fall. Only problem was the many steps down to the house. We did okay but could be difficult for anyone who can’t do stairs. “

„This house was a great find! We were attending a wedding at Lake Hopatcong and instead of staying in a bunch of hotel rooms, we choose this home. Four spacious bedrooms, extra beds for additional guests and everything we needed to enjoy being together as a family. Having to travel from North Carolina, my husband and I had to work remotely one day during our stay. The bedrooms upstairs had nice desk space to accommodate private space for us to work. The view of the lake made the stay even more ...

We found everything the owner says is available on the property to be true and of nice quality. She's very responsive and it's obvious she wants her guests to have a nice time at her property. „Overall our time spent at this home was great! It was the perfect place for all of our friends to meet up for labor day weekend and reconnect after some of us have moved away. The pond wasn't very swimmable - the water plants were so tall they were touching the surface/just beneath the surface from the bottom of the pond and it was quite shallow. "Miete kassieren ist keine Wartung! Schöner Balkon... leider mit zugeschraubter Tür. Dafür fehlen die Dichtungen drumrum und durch die 3cm Lücken war es gut am ziehen. Die 2 Zimmer Karten 4 mal neu programmieren lassen... Taten immer nur nen paar mal dann gingen sie nicht mehr. Das hintere Treppenhaus ließ einem dem Atem stocken. Aber die Umgebung war traumhaft. Viel grün Wald und Bäume. "

"Since we had a very late flight to New York, it was clear from the start that we wouldn't arrive at the hotel until after midnight. I had to call twice and write three emails before I got a reasonable answer. We arrived at the hotel at around 2:00 am. A very grumpy night porter first wanted the credit card to block a security deposit of $400. This is not stated anywhere, neither on the Expedia website nor on the hotel website. It was made clear to us, no credit card - no room, what's the point??!! The man was too stupid to use his credit card reader. The security deposit was reserved twice, a total of about $800, very professional!! After 9 days, these reservations were finally deleted. The room was really bad. The bathroom door was stuck, the fan in the bathroom didn't work. The window was bent and didn't close properly. The room faced the inner courtyard, where a huge air conditioning system rattled day and night. We asked for another room the next day and got one. The room was OK, but there was a big wall in front of the window. When I asked what that meant, I was clearly told that 3rd batch bookings, for example Expedia, only get the remaining rooms. The good rooms with a view of the park are only available for guests booked directly with the hotel. That's really intense!!! Our room was cleaned once in 4 days. When asked, it was said that you have to actively announce or order. With all due respect, I've never heard that before. Just as a side note, the breakfast is real"
