„We had a wonderful stay in the Halvard hotel. The staff were welcoming, and accommodating for our requests. Our room was clean, spacious and had a lovely view of the sea and the promenade. The breakfast was excellent, with good options for hot breakfast that's freshly prepared and a small buffet. The location of the hotel is great, being less than 10 min walk from the ferry passenger terminal, on the sea front and downtown area, and in walking distance to the bus station. „Really nice hotel. Spacious clean rooms. Staff great. Complimentary continental breakfast. Reception not manned through day, but not a problem as telephone linked. Had a great stay.“

„As a flight crew we choose the hotel because of the good rating! And everything was as described! Nice people and good and clean rooms! The bed was cosy and comfortable. Especially the lady at the reception was fantastic! We asked for a late checkout and she did. everything to manage it. Of course we did get different rooms, but we could keep the rooms for free until 4:30pm the next day. This attitude is not always available in the hotel industry! Definitely we will come again “

„Ein sehr altes Hotel mit renovierten Zimmern. Man merkt dem Gebäude seine Historie an. Der Boden ist schief und in einem typisch altbritischen Stil gehalten. Das Frühstück war English OK. Direkt an der Promenade gelegen und nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß von der Innenstadt.“

„Sehr nettes Personal!! Zimmer gut ausgestattet. Hotel teilweise stark verdreckt(Treppenhaus) und renovierungsbeduerftig. Praktische Lage mit großem Parkplatz und Ausblick auf die tolle Bucht. “

„Lovely one night stay at a reasonable price. Hotel well located. Room was newly refurbished (although quite cheaply), and thought had gone into details, e.g. good lighting and sufficient plug sockets with USB. Beds were comfortable enough although quite creaky. Bathroom was quite spacious although the wall between the bathroom and bedroom didn't go all the way to the ceiling, which was a bit odd. Didn't try breakfast.“

„We stayed to end out TT holiday in the IOM the hotel was gray outside and looked very dowdy. The staff in the front desk were very friendly. the rooms needed a deep clean, the restaurant was very quiet and the staff and food was extremely poor; I didn’t expect to wait so long to be told to wait on our self’s for a £60 Sunday dinner that was supposed to be our 10th wedding anniversary dinner, something luxurious but the lamb was cold and tough, the beef was inedible the veg was cooked well but ...

The location of the hotel is great, being less than 10 min walk from the ferry passenger terminal, on the sea front and downtown area, and in walking distance to the bus station.
