Narayan is a beautiful, elegant holiday home in the heart of Deal’s Georgian conservation area. The owner has renovated the house to to a very high standard creating a luxurious interior combined with a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.

From the exposed beams and painted panelling to the zellige tiles, brass fittings and beautifully chosen furniture, this is a house that has been put together with real vision and considerable style. The house runs across three floors in the way that only old Deal cottages can, each room leading naturally into the next, the layout unfolding gradually as you move through it. On the ground floor, the sitting room at the front is anchored by an exposed brick fireplace with a log burner and sets the tone for the whole house. Beyond it, the kitchen/diner is well-equipped and beautifully finished with green shaker cabinets, a full splashback of ochre zellige tiles and a dining table that seats six comfortably. From there, the house opens into a wonderful rear conservatory room, with a large skylight flooding the space with light; a lovely space to sit and read a book. A ground floor shower room with a gold framed glass shower, and beautiful diamond tile floor is just beyond. Doors from the conservatory room lead out to the courtyard which is sheltered, quiet and entirely your own. Three bedrooms and a further bathroom are spread across the upper floors: the two master bedrooms and a luxurious bathroom with a deep marble bath with overhead shower and warm tiles are found on the first floor and the charming twin room tucked under the eaves is on the top floor. Narayan is kind of home that is very easy to fall in love with, but very hard to leave.

Sitting Room
Sitting room with log burner, Smart TV, high speed Wi-Fi, two sofas, coffee table, rug and lamps.

Kitchen/Diner
Well equipped kitchen with electric hob and oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. Dining table and chairs for six.

Conservatory
Light filled seating area with doors opening onto the courtyard.

Bathroom
Bathroom with shower which has rainfall and handheld attachments, WC and basin with drawers, mirror, wall lights and shelves.

First Floor
Bedroom One
King size bed, built in cupboards with hanging rails and drawers, desk and long mirror, chair. Fireplace is decorative only. Blackout roller blinds.

Bedroom Two
Double size bed, bedside tables, lamps, chest of drawers. Opposite this bedroom is a wardrobe with rails and cupboard space. Blackout roller blinds.

Bathroom
Bathroom with bath and overhead rainfall shower with separate hose attachment, WC, basin, mirror, wall lights. There is also extra built in cupboard space for toiletries.

Top Floor
Bedroom Three
Twin room with two single beds, open to the rafters. Please note this room is accessed via an open staircase without a bannister and is not suitable for children under 10.

Outdoor
Courtyard
Completely private walled courtyard garden with outdoor seating.

Shed
External shed housing washer/dryer and drying rack.

Accessibility
The house is set across three floors with steep, curved staircases - full of character but not suitable for those with limited mobility. The top floor bedroom has an open staircase. For this reason the house is not suitable for children under 10 years old. Rope handrails are fitted on all staircases.

Parking
There is no dedicated parking at the property. Free and paid parking is available in nearby town centre car parks and along the seafront, a short walk away. We recommend unloading at the house first and then parking nearby.

Things you need to know

Check in is from 4pm and check out is by 10am.
Sleeps 6 across three bedrooms, one king-size, one double and one twin.
Bed linen and towels are provided. Please bring your own beach towels.
High speed WiFi with boosters and Smart TV.
Log burner in the sitting room.
Washer/dryer located in the outdoor shed.
A starter pack of sundries is provided including washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, sponges, toilet roll. You may wish to bring more if staying for over a week.
Not suitable for children under 10 years old due to open staircase on the top floor.
Not suitable for those with limited mobility due to steep, curved staircases.
No pets permitted.
There is a camera pointing towards the front door, for security purposes.

House Rules

We would respectfully ask that the following house rules are adhered to, to avoid any damages. Should any damages arise please note charges may apply as per our Terms and Conditions.
Smoking and vaping are not permitted in the property at any time.
Please note for insurance purposes the number of guests must not exceed the total occupancy of the house.
For fire safety reasons please do not use any candles in the property. No charging of e-scooters or e-cigarettes.
Please note quiet hours are between 11pm and 9am. Please be respectful to neighbours.
Parties and loud music are not permitted.
Hen and stag groups are not permitted.
