This is such a difficult review to write. The place is slightly dated but otherwise very well maintained and clean. Everyone at the resort was lovely and the location is as good as it gets in Daytona. Not a single bad thing to say about the resort and would gladly stay there again. Repeatedly. Unfortunately the check-in experience was the absolute worst I’ve ever experienced. So bad in fact that I’m considering demanding a formal investigation into their practices. They refused us access to our pre-paid resort for an undocumented need for over 2 hours. In the heat in Daytona in July. When they unreasonably texted me and asked for a selfie with my drivers license (again, not in the contract) from an unknown person, I ignored it. Frankly, I thought it was spam and blocked the number. When my wife arrived at the resort, they refused her access (even though she accommodated their request and gave them a selfie with her drivers license in it) until they had my picture. So I took that picture while on an airplane to Florida. They refused that picture and over 10 additional others. This is absurd, wrong, and I will be asking for a refund of a portion of my rental because we were refused entry. I will also demand assurance that my private information is not released to other parties. Should I find out that it was mishandled or intentionally sold, I will be sure to pursue it very legal option available. You will be hearing from me.
