„The place is a bit far from the main gaths and turistic atraction and a bit hard to reach (has to be by foot). The staff was nice and the AC worked well in the room which was really good, since the rest of the place was pretty warm. The bathroom was tiny and the shower was not separeted from the rest, which leads to the whole bathroom being wet after showering. The mattress was old and had a whole in the center. Breakfast was OK. If you are not searching for too much comfort, this place is good.“

„Ziemlich direkt am Ganges und den Tempeln. Je nach Zimmerkategorie auch Flussblick möglich. Schwer zu finden. Keine direkte Anfahrt mit dem Taxi möglich. Bäder sollen im Sommer 2019 renoviert werden (und müssen es auch). Dachterrase mit Essensmöglichkeit. Bier im Angebot. Kein Zimmersafe.“

„Palace on the Step liegt direkt an den Ghats und bietet hervorragende Aussicht ueber das Geschehen unterhalb. Mein Zimmer war sauber, k/w Wasser immer vorhanden, Strom faellt gelegentlich kurzzeitig (<10min) aus was allerdings duers ganze Viertel gilt. Bis zum Haupt-Ghat sind es nur wenige Schritte. Man sollte beiBuchung auf ein Zimmer mit Aussicht zum Ganges bestehen, sonst ist der Hauptvorteil dieser Unterkunft vergeben.
