„im Sommer ist das Hotel wenig besucht. sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. In der Gegend viel zu erleben. Personal sehr freundlich.“

„I will start with my only negative on this home. The driveway is very small. We had our Ram truck and it fit under the covered parking area. But a bigger vehicle might not fit. That's it. Everything else was so good. The house had multiple reminder notes around it. Which I find very helpful. The kids and I loved every well placed detail. The toy closet was a huge hit. We're hoping to book this home again in the future. “

„We’ve been going to the mountain for 47 years. This by far was the best place to stay very easy access; air was cooled up on top my shirt mountain and the company has a beautiful pool, hot tub and sauna I would recommend this place exponentially more than any other place“

„Fantastic trip! Stayed 2 nights and wished we could stay longer! The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The property was wooded and so quiet. We didn't expect to wake up to snow and feel like temp of 7 degrees, but the cabin was warm, cozy, and dry. Will definitely recommend to others and will be back! Thanks for the memories Bear Cabin!“

„It was perfect. It’s conveniently located near Banner Elk restaurants and the park, as well as other activities. Decorated in a welcoming mountain style with lots of bear accents, it had everything we needed. My husband and I had a relaxing visit and plan to return. Lisa (the owner) was a great communicator and made me feel like we were already friends!“

„We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cabin. It is everything advertised: clean, comfortable bed, hot water and good water pressure! The hot tub is a plus after a day of golf or hiking in the mountains. My husband enjoyed the the Grassy Creek Golf course - only about 30 minutes down the mountain. While the Blue Ridge Parkway is very close, much of it is still closed due to Hurricane Helene so we were unable to access many of the suggested sights. However, we found Pisgah National Forest ...

„The stay was relaxing and tucked away up on the top of the mountain. Everything we needed to cook and we enjoyed the warm welcome with a bottle of wine & chocolate. The deck was my favorite part, plenty of room and comfortable patio furniture, our puppy loved the plush woods and the small trail to a picnic area. You definitely need a vehicle to climb ruff terrain, steep hills, and sharp turns. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway, thank you Matt and Chris!“

"I had slightly higher expectations before arriving at the hotel. The check-in staff were fine, but I was hoping for a bit more of that Southern hospitality. When we got to our room, we noticed a lot of noise from the road, so we went back down to request a room change, which they handled without any issues—this was fantastic. The room itself was quite nice, with a very comfortable bed, though the bathroom was a bit small but functional. I also want to highlight the number and quality of the towels, which were excellent. Unfortunately, we didn’t enjoy the breakfast much. It was impossible to avoid single-use plastic, which, as Europeans, we find difficult due to the amount of waste it generates. The dining area also felt a bit drab and uninviting. Another downside was the housekeeping. Despite requesting, confirming, and leaving the sign on the door for daily cleaning, we returned one evening to find that no one had come to clean the room, which was disappointing."
