„The hotel was beautiful and all the wonderful festive decorations made it feel very special. Bar staff were wonderful. I loved sipping my gin by the warm crackling fire place. The breakfast room was wonderful with lovely views of the snowy mountain tops. Great selection available for breakfast. My Eggs Royal were lovely, thank you for our amazing stay! „The hotel is located very central and has a very nice lobby and entry-area. Our room was in the 3rd floor which had a nice view on the lake but it takes a long way to get in the room, because the lift is accessable just from 1st-3rd floor and in the other part of the building. The room was very small and the restroom too.“

„A really lovely couple of nights at Holly Lodge. The hospitality shown from Kirsty and Barbara was 1st class and couldn’t have wished for a more welcoming and homely stay. The lounge is a beautiful and relaxing area to sit and have a drink and take in the wonderful Xmas tree . Really enjoyed the couple of visits to the health club using both the gym and the Spa which was a wonderful perk. "The historic building is fabulous, the atmosphere great, it's the pole position in Windermere, great view on the lake. I wonder if it is necessary that during the summer season the building is under construction. With scaffoldings in front of the windows, some parts of the building beside the entrance in bad condition, and even a corridor we had to pass everyday was stuffed with furniture, cardboard boxes ... This is not the atmosphere for holidays. Due to repairs on some wires, the internet connection broke down every night. The location is great, but there's some work to do to bring it back to its standard. "
