„The unit was impeccably decorated and lots of attention to detail. It was styled like a model home with all the bells and whistles. Loved the cozy throw blankets and the bed was comfy. Luckily we planned ahead and brought meals as there are not many options for dining/groceries. The dome has a kitchenette, with shared full kitchen in lobby area. Only wish was shower pressure needs a boost. Otherwise great location for visit to the dunes.“

„I was overall impressed with this space. It was very clean, including the hot tub, which is not always the case when you’re renting so I really appreciated that. The location and view of the mountains is to die for I loved how the house was set up in a way that you’re always looking out a window at the mountain no matter what room you’re in. It really created the perfect birthday weekend for me and my friends! Highly recommend “

„The house was absolutely incredible, beautifully decorated and thoughtfully set up to create a truly enjoyable experience. The layout was spacious and functional, and it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Just a heads up: while it’s a great location, it is about an hour from the Great Sand Dunes, though the town of Crestone itself has a charming restaurant and a well-stocked grocery store.The only downside was the communication with the host, which felt a bit impersonal. „We wanted to visit the Great Sand Dunes National Park. This was about a 45 minute drive. It was perfect. We also enjoyed exploring the town of Creststone. The home was clean, roomy, and very comfortable. “

„Nice big house, plenty of room for two families!Note—the kitchen is upstairs! Be ready to carry that cooler up a long flight of stairs….It is an hour to Great Sand Dunes, and almost that to most SLV locations. “

„We could not get a hold of host for keyless access and to talk about concerns we had. I sent multiple emails and called him several times and left voicemails. He called us 30 minutes before our checkin saying he had never received anything from me. We ended up staying at a hotel and didn’t receive our full refund.“

„The only demerit I have is: While, yes, the house is Minutes from the Great Sand Dunes, it's a good hour to get to the actual visitor center. The access they mention is to the back side of the dunes. Still amazing and let's you avoid tourist crowds, but my goal was to hike the tallest dunes which meant I had to drive to the other side. “

„Unique home, beautiful 360 degree views, everything we needed was available (comfy bedding & furniture, well stocked kitchen, basic supplies) & easy access to hiking trails, sand dunes, and the town of Crestone. Definitely recommend!“

„The house is beautiful and has a fun story behind it too--built of strawbales. It is clean, cozy and comfortable and we had a wonderful couple days there. Host was accommodating, hospitable and very quick in communication, check-in was easy, beds were comfy. The mountain views are stunning. The drive to Great Sand Dunes was longer than expected, but worth the drive. And walking around Crestone on Saturday was so interesting. Be sure to check out the 'Freebox' -- such a fun idea! “

„Had a great time in the San Luis Valley. The area is very quiet and peaceful. It is far enough away to be remote but close enough to get to everything. Clean comfortable and quiet. Great for kids and families “

„It's a rare treat to be on acres of land and open space such that surrounds this home. More than anything, the house has a peaceful, welcoming feel. Not too fancy schmancy, but not run down. It was very clean, which is often a wild card with short rentals. I enjoyed the unimpeded views of the Sangre de Cristos as well as the range on the other side of the valley. „We came to hike and visit the sand dunes but the weather didn’t cooperate so we spent a lot of time at the property soaking in the hot tub, relaxing, and just enjoying life. Everything we needed was there, plus extras. Great place in an interesting area. “
