Enjoy the beach and hiking trails which are each just a three-minute walk away, local wineries, the nearby historic Cowichan Bay fishing village with great restaurants and shops, and the quiet of this wooded 1-acre property. Situated between the ocean and Hof Park, Sea and Cedar Retreat offers everything you need to unwind. The clean, newly renovated house features two luxurious King-sized beds, a complete, well-stocked kitchen, a scenic balcony with a barbecue, a backyard patio, a private outdoor space surrounded by old-growth cedars and firs, and 2 smart TVs.

Es war wunderschön

Das Haus war ein Traum, es lag super für uns. Eine wunderschöne ruhige Lage von der man aber super überall hin kam. Kathy und Gary waren super freundlich und zuvorkommend wir können sie und ihr Häuschen wirklich weiter empfehlen würden auf alle Fälle wieder kommen

Wonderful!

Apart from the fact that the hosts were the nicest and most caring I have ever met, the apartment is a dream. Flooded with light, perfectly and lovingly equipped and very clean. The location is wonderful: quiet and close to nature, right by the sea and forest, and at the same time close enough to reach, for example, Victoria or other destinations easily by car. I have found nothing like this nearby.

Very nice property with convenient access to both a quiet beach along the bay and a (steep) trail for a walk amongst the tall trees.It’s minutes away from Cowichan Bay village, and a convenient location for easy access to Duncan and the surrounding area.

The home was absolutely stunning. Nestled in a wonderfully quiet neighbourhood, it offered a sense of calm that felt almost otherworldly. Clean and Relaxing

This was a wonderful place to stay. It had everything we needed and was incredibly clean. The location was close enough to anything we needed and several prime tourist destinations, but far enough away that it was silent at night. We loved watching the bunnies in the morning and the bats at dusk. The nearby beach was a delight. I would happily recommend this place to anyone looking.

Quiet and serene

This is a beautiful location it's quiet and serene. I loved waking up to the sounds of birds and having breakfast on the patio enjoying the beautiful view of the trees and surrounding nature. The accommodation had everything we needed and more, it was very clean. Kathy was very quick to respond to any questions we had and created a wonderful experience for us! We highly recommend staying here and would definitely come back if we wanna stay in the area again!

Bright and Beautiful

Kathy, the host, is like a helpful ray of sunshine. The home is beautifully decorated, super clean, and a short walk from the shore. The kitchen is well appointed with equipment to cook well. A Cowichan Bay Gem

What a wonderful stay we had in this pristine home! You will find a beautifully decorated home with everything you need and more. Very quiet location, comfy beds, a short walk to the beach, and most importantly kind a caring hosts. :-). We arrived to the most delicious freshly baked cookies and a quick tour of the amenities. Our hosts even made sure that we knew about some of the biking hot spots and sent us some directions on where to go. So appreciated when you arrive somewhere new. We will be back! Just pure paradise

My husband, sister and I came to Vancouver Island looking for a place to retire to… Cowichen Bay is a slice of paradise and our stay with Kathy and Gary was perfect… from the homemade muffins to beautiful coastline. The neighborhood and neighbors could not have been nicer or more welcoming. This just might be our new home… at any rate, we will be back for another stay at the cottage… better than any 5 star hotel we’ve ever been to. Thank you soooooo much to Kathy and Gary for their hospitality.

An oasis of peace

Wonderful hosts, beautiful place

We stayed for two nights and had a wonderful stay. The hosts were so kind and generous and made us feel so at home. The house is well set up with everything we needed and the beach access made for a relaxing band beautiful stay. We will definitely be back!
