Retiro do Burel

Welcome to Retiro do Burel, where you can enjoy the best that Serra da Estrela has to offer. Our house has c.100 m2, two large bedrooms and two bathrooms, and all amenities you need, in order to spend amazing and relaxing holidays away from home :)

From our balcony, you can enjoy the magnificent view that extends from Serra da Gardunha to the Tower. We dare to say that it is, without a doubt, one of the accommodations with the best view of Penhas da Saúde... Come check it out for yourself!

This wonderful property comes fully equipped and consists of:

BEDROOMS
- 2 bedrooms with a double bed with large pillows, comfortable sheets and plenty of storage space.

SOCIAL AREA
- A comfortable living room downstairs with two sofas, cable TV, and access to the balcony.
- Downstairs you can also find a spacious dining table, perfect for a dinner with friends and family.

BATHROOMS
- A bathroom, on the upper level, equipped with a bathtub, a toilet and a bidet.
- A social bathroom on the lower level, with toilet and bidet.

KITCHEN
- A kitchen that comes fully equipped with all the appliances you might need during your stay, such as a Nespresso coffee machine, a stove, an oven, a microwave, a fridge and freezer, a toaster and much more!

PARKING
- Guests can park at our private parking spot right next to Retiro do Burel, or anywhere on the public road (except in the remaining condominium's private areas).

HOUSE RULES:
Pets are not allowed.

Smoking is not permitted inside the accommodation. It is strictly forbidden to leave cigarette butts in the patio area.

Check-out time is by 11:00 a.m. If you fail to check out by this time, an additional charge equivalent to one extra night’s stay will apply.

Please be respectful of our accommodation and make sure to leave it in the same condition in which you found it.

Before leaving, please close all windows and doors and ensure that the main entrance door is locked.

We kindly ask you to remove all trash at the end of your stay.
If you use the outdoor barbecue, please leave it clean and free of ashes.

The pellet stove must be turned off at check-out.
Indicative consumption is 2 bags of pellets per day during winter (sufficient to heat the space at maximum power).
Consumption exceeding this amount may be considered excessive and will be charged as an extra (€12 per bag).

Please note that while we provide high-speed internet and cable TV, we cannot be held responsible for any interruptions in the service provided by the operator.

Kindly note that our accommodation is located at an altitude of 1,570 meters, in a mountain village.
Although rare, some restrictions may occur, especially during adverse weather conditions (e.g., road access issues, power outages, or other service disruptions) which are beyond the host’s control — although we will always do our best to resolve any situation promptly, including contacting the relevant authorities.

To access the accommodation, guests must provide the details of all occupants (including children) at least 48 hours before check-in, in accordance with Portuguese law.
