„Old and charming village hotel. Our room was clean and cozy and both dinner and breakfast were good. The village and the river are lovely to walk around as well.“

„The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We felt they were willing to help out whenever it was needed and always with a smile. The room was lovely with a large walk in shower. It had just been renovated. The breakfast was delicious and I really liked that we could choose alternatives to the full English. We had lunch there with some friends and it was very nice. Dinner was also good but we didn't feel up to a full meal.“

„Beautiful, quaint property with a great location. Room was spacious and comfortable. Bathroom sink was interesting with separate H & C faucets that didn't mix the water....oh well. „The internet presence is far better than the actual property. The Junior Suite was filthy, the bathroom floor putrid. Booked a table for dinner at 8pm, the staff sat us but then never returned to the table. Went to the bar to order some drinks which were then served and at 8:10 the staff came to the table and asked us to quickly order as the kitchen was closing. Food was ok but nothing special. „The hotel really caters for big events etc. and was almost empty when I stayed. I only met the receptionist who was efficient, friendly and helpful. The hotel is very large and set in its own grounds and gardens. For my stay it was very quiet - I can't comment on when it is full and busy. However, my stay was during the latest heatwave and my bedroom was without air conditioning and uncomfortably hot.
