Verbesserungswürdig: Sauberkeit, Ausstattung und Zustand der Unterkunft
Our stay at the Wingate by Wyndham Corpus Christi was extremely disappointing and frankly concerning from a health and safety standpoint.
Both showers had visible mold, along with soap scum buildup in the shower dish. The mini fridge in one of our rooms had so much ice buildup in the freezer compartment that the door would not close, causing water to leak onto the floor. One room had no window shade at all, leaving the room fully exposed to anyone outside — a serious privacy and safety issue.
The hot water took over five minutes to get warm. The TV remote in one room did not work, and the front desk informed us they didn’t even have batteries available to fix it. The bathroom door made a horrific squeaking noise every time it was opened or closed. One bed was missing a comforter entirely.
The pool and hot tub were under repair and unavailable, which was disappointing, and only one ice machine (on the fourth floor) was functioning.
Most troubling was the condition of the property overall and the attitude of the staff. Front desk assistance was anything but helpful. We were told multiple times that “the owner knows about the issues” but refuses to address them.
This hotel is poorly maintained and shows clear signs of neglect. The mold alone raises serious health concerns. I would strongly caution anyone considering staying here to look elsewhere.
