Stunning sea views, heatable pool and easy access on foot to the beach, tavernas and shops of charming Kalami: Jasmine in a nutshell!

Jasmine encapsulates all that is desirable in a holiday villa. Its many charms, not least its enchanting sea views and abundance of shady terraces, invite repose and relaxation, while the proximity of Kalami, just a few minutes' walk away down the hill, throws up a couple of delicious dilemmas: lounge by the pool or on the beach, eat in or dine out at one of the village's seafront tavernas. It's good to have such choices.

Inside: accommodation at Jasmine is spread over three principal floors. The main entrance takes one in to the comfortable open-plan living and dining area with traditional flagstone flooring and French windows leading out onto a large shady terrace overlooking the sea and Kalami down below. To one end of the living and dining area is the luminous kitchen, which accesses the front terrace and barbecue area.

A few stairs lead from the living area to the first bedroom, a light, airy twin with en-suite bathroom with tub and its own private terrace looking over and accessing the pool. The stairs continue from outside this room up to the first floor landing, off which are two more bedrooms, a double with en-suite bathroom with tub and shower attachment, and a twin with en-suite shower room. These bedrooms have access to a shared, shady, sea-view terrace with steps down to the pool area.

Back on the landing, another flight of stairs takes one up to the second floor, which is home to a large double bedroom, with en-suite shower room, and a balcony with stunning views.

Outside accessed from the indoor reception room is a large covered sea-view terrace equipped for dining. From here it is but a hop. skip and a jump to the stone-paved pool area, which also boasts excellent views of the Ionian Sea and coastline around Kalami. The heatable pool makes bathing possible even in the off-season months. To the other side of the house, is the barbecue area, conveniently accessed from the kitchen and al fresco dining area on the main terrace.

The well-thought-out design of Jasmine, means that the bedrooms on the mezzanine floor and the first floor all have shady outside space where guests can read, relax, drink in the wonderful panoramas or, thanks to steps that lead to the pool area, quickly nip down for a swim. The second floor bedroom has its own balcony, which, while not as spacious as the terraces below, boasts the best views.

Due to the nature of the property including terraces low walls and several drops around the grounds, children must be supervised at all times.
Jasmine sits in a supremely panoramic position above the lovely bay of Kalami, whose beach, tavernas, shops and watersports facilities (think boat hire, windsurfing and lots more) are just a couple of minutes' walk away. On the southern side of the bay is the famous White House, once home to the writer Lawrence Durrell. It is now a seafront restaurant and bar, where you can sit and imagine James Bond stopping in for a Vodka Martini (parts of For Your Eyes Only were filmed there). Jasmine is also ideally placed for discovering the beaches and fishing villages northeast of Corfu. For a spot of nightlife, bustling Kassiopi is just a 15-minute drive away. Heading south, charming Corfu Town with its fortifications and historic labyrinth of streets is about 45 minutes' drive and well worth a visit. If you're travelling with kids, there are plenty of stimulating activities and attractions for children within easy reach.
