I recently stayed at Hyatt Woodlands Houston for five days and had a disappointing experience that I feel Expedia readers should know about.
Key concerns
- Cleaning and hygiene: The room was not cleaned adequately during my stay. Linens were not changed, cups were not washed, and vacuuming was not performed.
- Front desk and housekeeping: While Anna at the front desk was helpful, her efforts were not supported by the rest of the team.
- Overall cleanliness: The fourth floor had an unpleasant odor, and I observed issues that made the environment feel unhygienic.
- Staff professionalism: Repeatedly encountered rude or unprofessional behavior from staff, which significantly impacted my stay.
- Room condition: Room 407/407 was not up to expectations for a Hyatt property, contributing to a regrettable experience.
- Consistency with brand standards: As a Gold Elite member who typically enjoys Marriott properties, this stay fell far short of what I’ve come to expect from Hyatt.
What I would hope for moving forward
- Immediate attention to housekeeping procedures and follow-through on cleaning protocols.
- Greater consistency in guest service training to ensure all team members are courteous and responsive.
- A thorough debrief with property leadership to address odor, cleanliness, and room maintenance issues.
In summary, this stay did not meet the level of quality and service I expect from Hyatt,Don’t stay. It’s a waste and absolutely unhealthy
