Our son had a soccer tournament in Hickory with spaced out game times, rescheduled games due to weather, etc. The Blue Door Guesthouse was our comfortable oasis to relax and enjoy family time. The pool was great, even in May! The hosts are top knotch. Highly recommend!"

My brother came to stay with my Mom for a few days. My husband and I and our 6 children rented this place so that we could be close while my brother was in Hickory. "Such a nice place, even better than the pics. Love the cabin theme decor, beautifully decorated. Lots of room inside and out for a family to spread out. Thanks for keeping the kitchen well-stocked and leaving condiments/spices and kitchen supplies; we enjoyed cooking and preparing multiple meals. We were lucky to have perfect weather and spent most of our time outdoors enjoying the mountain views and fire pit. We weren't expecting such nice weather; I wish we had brought cornhole/outdoor games....

"The small town of Valdese is cute and has some great things to see and do but this little bungalow is amazing! All the furnishings and appointments were clean, attractive and uncluttered. "Simply charming house. Very clean. The owners provided all the starter items as well as snacks and bottled water. Notified owner we would be arriving late at night and they left lights on in the house for us which was much appreciated. There is a lot of road noise so if this might be an issue for your group you might think about bringing earplugs. Overall it’s a charming house."

"Small details make for the best stay! From plenty of towels (bath and hot tub) to two luggage racks for each room along with new pots, pans, etc - this house made us feel like we were at home. The property manager responded quickly about the few items we needed help with (hot tub temp, garage bags, etc.) Plus provided suggestions of things to do in NC in the springtime. Our family had wonderful nights at fire pit and hot tub overlooking the valley. Would highly recommend!"
