The house was what we needed and close to everything we wants to do. Everyone appreciated the layout and decor, and the views and outdoor space were appreciated. Check-in was easy, and Kaitlyn was responsive throughout our visit.The stairs were a bit creaky, which was a bit challenging with energetic children, but we'd be happy to stay here again on the next trip to Colorado springs.

Location and view outstanding
A great location for us and the view of Pikes Peak from the front window was spectacular. The home is well appointed, beds were comfortable and neighborhood is quiet and felt safe. Cleanliness was an issue for the kitchen. The floor was filthy and the cabinets and stove had not been wiped down. The TV in the living room did not work and was tiny. This was puzzling as the front bedroom had a gigantic TV with all the channels. There is a great family room in the basement with TV and we enjoyed that for an occasional movie. However the main gathering room where the best view is has no workable entertainment..These issues are all fixable and it's a solid 5 stars if the kitchen cleaning and the inconvenience with the TV are addressed. Communication with host though sometimes slow was reasonable and they did attempt to remedy some issues. The company managing this property should complete an occasional inspection to check on the quality of the cleaning service.

Not my best VRBO experience
While the property was clean and the management was communicative, there were a lot of issues with this property. The listing claimed to be remodeled, but this was only done on the surface. The property itself was very old, complete with bad heating, very creaky floors, doors that wouldn’t shut, and not properly functioning appliances. The basement rooms were extremely cold while the rest of the house was hot and there were no extra blankets in the house. We were told by management there was nothing they could do. Also, the stairs were very steep and not great for small kids or older adults.

My communication to manager about 1) dirty floors and dishes 2) lack of a skillet was promptly answered. Team came out next day and cleaned at floors again. Left dirty pans in cabinet. Did not deliver skillet. As a note: bar downstairs had no glassware or bar supplies. Kitchen had three large dirty pans, no skillets and Three coffee cups. Seriously people?

The house was:
• comfortably accommodating to 10 people with kids
• close to all activities- pikes peak, garden of the gods, downtown Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs
• The view of the mountain out the front window was incredible

• cleaned very well prior to us arriving- all floors were not swept or mopped, the furniture was dusty, downstairs shower was not cleaned, trash was not emptied (and the bags were full)

Worst part of our trip!
If I could rate it a 0, I would. This stay was the worst part of our trip and became such an inconvenience.
1. Right off the bat, we noticed the floors were sticky, the grill seemed like it was never cleaned, there was still hair in the bathtub and on the toilets, and the dishes in the cupboard had to be washed in order to be used because they were not clean.
2. None of the doors closed properly! Only 1 of the 4 bedroom doors closed completely and both bathroom doors were difficult to close and even harder to open. There basically was zero privacy in the house.
3. House rules are misleading! Don't post quiet hours if there are none! We received multiple "noise detector" automated texts for laughing too loud in the evening (outside of the noted quiet hours). Then we received a call from California abouts noise. We started to receive multiple direct text messages from this company about our noise level exceeding decibels - all outside quiet hours and even once when WE WEREN'T EVEN IN THE HOUSE.
4. The most unprofessional part of our stay was a sofa delivery. We received a notice late Saturday afternoon that there would be a sofa delivery scheduled for 8:45am to 11:45am the next morning. The delivery guys came at 7:45am. For our last morning in the house, we had little access to the living/dining area due to the new sofa in the middle of the room.
We do not recommend staying here. For frequent travelers, this was the worst experience any of us have ever had with VRBO.
