What a beautiful home. We were a short walk from everything! What was supposed to be a weekend of adventure turned into a weekend of rest. My dad and I both came down with a rough cold and spent the majority of our stay at the house while the rest of the family went hiking and exploring the town. It was a quiet home in a nice quiet neighborhood. Dad and I spent our day sitting in the front porch drinking coffee watching deer come down the hill. In the afternoon we played cards at the large dining table or sitting in the backyard with the dogs. Big pros were how close to town the house is. We walked to the family dollar to get cough syrup and cough drops while our family went to wine tasting in town. Our kids hiked the trails nearby and explored the days away. In the evening we grilled burgers and made grilled steak tacos on the back deck. Anither big pro was the master being on the main floor. Grama and grampa were able to access their bedroom without having to climb stairs. Bathtub in master was easy enough for them to navigate too. Cons were the grill was a bit hard to access in the back deck. It’s too big a grill for such a small deck but we made it work. Another con was the outdoor seating. There wasn’t enough seating outside for our whole group. It’s a large house that can easily accommodate 10 people but there is hardly seating for 5 or 6 outside. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Our large group was able to spread out comfortably in our down time in the house.
