„This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The room was wonderful - comfortable and clean, with nice extra touches. The bed was so comfortable it was difficult to get up in the morning! The restaurant was wonderful - excellent food and service. Breakfast was also excellent. Will definitely book again next time we are in the area.“

„Lovely old house with beautiful garden. The host was very helpful and friendly. I stayed in a small single room that had it's own exclusive large bathroom. Breakfast was excellent with good choice, fresh fruit and range of eating times.“

„Nette Betreiber, zentrale Lage und ein umfassendes Frühstück regionaler Art - toller Startpunkt für eine Fahrt in den Lake District oder zu den Burgruinen Brougham und Brough. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl und gut aufgenommen gefühlt.“

„This proved to be one of the superior B&Bs we have ever used. Apart from the comfort and cleanliness we discovered two small brownies and two KitKats on the tea tray. Breakfast was delicious - porridge, fresh fruit salad, any cereals, full breakfasts and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon . Very inexpensive.“

„This was our 4th visit to Pooley Bridge. It has parking and free WiFi. The menu is varied and well priced. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are pretty, functional and the beds are comfortable. The towels are huge and fluffy. “

„The staff were extremely friendly, and the room was acceptable with a good shower. The breakfasts were basic, and the dinners were pub style but adequate. The area is right in the countryside and the historic village church is well worth a visit“

„ Grundsätzlich empfehlenswert, leider deutliche Servicemängel und schwankender Standard beim ansonsten sehr freundlichen Personal. Die Nebensaison sollte keinen Qualitätsabfall zur Folge haben. Abendmenü für 55 GBP zu teuer, auch hier ließen Qualität und Service Wünsche offen. Es gibt aber jetzt ein neues Hotel mit Swimmingpool am See, dass den 4**** vielleicht eher entspricht.“

"Außenanlagen, äußeres Erscheinungsbild sehr gepflegt, sehr schönes, viktorianischesGebäude. Fenster nur minimal zu öffnen, Aussicht auf Mülltonnen, Badezimmer renovierungsbedürftig. Abendessen, 3- Gang- Menu akzeptabel, aber Preis- Leistungs - Verhältnis stimmt nicht. Die oben angeführten Kritikpunkte werden wahrscheinlich relativiert bei schönem Wetter durch die landschaftlich herrliche Umgebung und die damit verbundenen vielfältigen Freizeitmöglichkeiten Wir hatten bei unserem Aufenthalt im August leider das Pech wegen des extrem schlechten Wetters - ca 14 Grad, Regen und starkem Wind- praktisch nichts im Freien unternehmen zu können. "
