„The room was clean and the hotel has a good location somewhere in the nothing. The bar was nice. The breakfast was good but nothing special. Typical english breakfast.“

„Very friendly personnel, nice breakfast, good location with plenty of parking spaces available. “

„Nice hotel“

„Room clean and spacious, staff very friendly, excellent breakfast - would come again “

„The hotel is beautiful, well equipped, very nice staff. The location is gorgeous with easy access to the centre of Malton. The room was very nice, clean and spacious. Only negative was mold in the bathroom, apart from that our stay was perfect!“

„Beautiful place, excellent dinner “

„Leider ist das Hotel ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen und müsste dringend renoviert werden. Bettwäsche sowie Handtücher hatten teilweise Löcher und auch die Zimmerausstattung ist renovierungsbedürftig. Das Personal war jedoch durchweg freundlich und hilfsbereit. “

„brilliant place. staff were lovely, very friendly. i needed vegan options for breakfast and they were more than happy to accommodate. great location and easy parking behind the pub. would definitely stay again“

„The room and hotel worked for what it was offering! I enjoyed my stay and the staff were very friendly and helpful, but the door to the room I was staying in wasn’t working properly so I did run into some minor issues there. Other than that, it was very smooth sailing! Would recommend!“

„A warm welcome to a great little place Spacious room ,fantastic shower ,very comfortable bed Superb breakfast Highly recommended“

„A great stay at The George. A warm welcome, great comfy family room and wonderful breakfast.“

„The staff and the flair was excellent. Sadly the coffee is not good. The selection for breakfast is great. “

„Nice little cottage at a decent price, lovely owners. Bed was comfortable and it was useful having a kitchenette. Place had a few problems (such as the shower making the whole room wet and the extractor fan being broken) but was generally ok, but would have liked it to be cleaner (blood on headboard, hair on pillow, mould in shower, rather dusty in places, fridge could have been cleaner and tv handsets looked a biohazard!)“

„Property lovely, high standard interior. Staff on reception felt a little awkward as if on guard sat at a desk near the stairs but were always friendly. Access was a little difficult due to cars parked around the entrance to the car park. I guess to avoid the additional charge per night extra charge which we paid. Upon leaving our car was covered in tree sap but it will wash off. We stayed for 4 days and no one came into our room to empty our bins, replenish toiletries or restock the hot drink ...

„Nettes kleines Gästehaus, liebevoll ausgestattet, sehr nette Betreuung. Absolut empfehlenswert.“

„Conveniently located within a 10 min walk from the York train station. This BnB was cozy and quaint. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great value!“

„Sehr angenehmes Hotel mit sehr hohem Standard. Leider etwas nah an eine Schnellstraße, die deutlich zu hören ist. Penibel sauber, mit schönem Restaurant und Bar. Der Spa Bereich ist für englische Verhältnisse sehr schön, ebenfalls absolut sauber, mit Dame am Empfang. Eine echte Empfehlung.“

„Had a nice stay for our anniversary. Good suggestions for local walks. Wine and food was nice. It was a little disappointing that they did not do anything to mark our 10 year wedding anniversary and we had put a note on our booking. Drinks are quite expensive £6.50 for a pint/£10 for prosseco glass“
