„Very cool historic building boutique hotel, nicely renovated with comfortable rooms and a gorgeous throw-back lobby with a bar, coffee bar and comfortable seating. Hosts one of Kansas City’s excellent fine dining restaurants, The Town Company. Parking is not optimal with the best option being valet service, and downtown KC street and plaza construction poses navigation challenges. Still a great downtown hotel option and an easy walk to convention facilities or conferences at e.g., the Marriott. “

„Great location. Clean. The staff on arrival (Ozzy and Alberto) were outstanding. My room (on the backside so I’m told) was subject to the noise of passing trains all night long. The staff on the day before my departure were not so gracious nor the barman who wanted to charge me $25:00 for a small bottle of wine from the concession kiosk. But, other than this I would stay here again but in a room on the front or middle.“

Allerdings bin ich der Meinung, wenn ein Hotelzimmer ohne Fenster und Tageslicht vermietet wird, sollte darauf in der Beschreibung hingewiesen werden. Ich empfand es als großen Nachteil. Außerdem könnte es nicht schaden, dem Gast wenigstens eine kleine Flasche Wasser bereitzustellen. Das ist bei den meisten, deutlich günstigeren, Hotels und Motels Teil des Services. “

„Das Hotel aus den 1930er Jahren ist sehr schön im Art Deco Stil gestaltet. Die Lage in der Stadt ist sehr zentral, alles ist zu Fuß oder mit der kostenlosen Metro, die ebenfalls nur 100 m entfernt ist, zu erreichen. Auch die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet, aber etwas abgewohnt. Die Klimaanlagen sind sehr veraltet, lassen sich nicht abstellen und rauschen rund um die Uhr wie ein Wasserfall.
