Gîte Chabanais is one of three adjoining holiday cottages set within a peaceful property in the beautiful Charente region. Enjoy the French countryside, a spacious shared garden, a heated swimming pool and plenty of opportunities to relax and explore.

Whether you're planning a family holiday, a romantic getaway or a longer stay in France, Gîte Chabanais is a wonderful place to feel at home.

Thinking about moving to France? Searching for your dream property, working remotely or simply wishing to experience French life for a few weeks or months?

**From October through June, we offer attractive rates for extended stays.**

Our location makes an excellent base for exploring the Charente and surrounding regions while enjoying the comfort of your own holiday cottage.

Shorter holidays are, of course, equally welcome. Regular holiday rates apply during the summer season.

## 🏡 Comfortable Accommodation

Gîte Chabanais offers a spacious living room with comfortable seating and a flat-screen television.

The fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, four-ring hob, microwave and Nespresso coffee machine.

**Both bedrooms are on the ground floor and remain pleasantly cool during the summer, thanks to the property's thick stone walls.**

- One bedroom with a double bed (180 × 200 cm), which can also be arranged as two single beds.
- One bedroom with two single beds (90 × 200 cm).

All beds have box-spring bases and comfortable mattresses.

There is also a spacious bathroom with a shower, washbasin and toilet, plus an additional separate toilet.

## 🌿 Relax on Your Covered Terrace

Start your morning with a coffee outdoors or unwind in the evening with a glass of French wine.

Gîte Chabanais has its own covered terrace with a comfortable seating area and barbecue.

It's the perfect spot for outdoor dining, reading a good book or simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

## 🏊 Heated Swimming Pool & Spacious Gardens

Our three holiday cottages share a large garden and a lovely **heated swimming pool measuring 9.4 × 4 metres, with a depth of 1.5 metres**.

The pool is open seasonally, depending on weather conditions. In favourable weather, the swimming season may be extended. Please feel free to ask about pool availability before booking.

The shared garden offers plenty of space for relaxation and family fun, including:

- Sun loungers and parasols
- Trampoline
- Table tennis
- Table football
- Toys and play areas for younger children
- Quiet seating areas for reading or relaxing in the sunshine

A travel cot, highchair and stair gate are available free of charge upon request.

**Please note:** Our three holiday cottages are adjoining rather than detached. The large garden and swimming pool are shared by guests staying in the three cottages.

Unfortunately, Gîte Chabanais is not suitable for guests with limited mobility.

Beautiful walking and cycling routes lead through peaceful landscapes, forests and charming villages.

Nearby places to explore include:

**Exideuil – 2 km**

A charming village with a restaurant, bar, pharmacy and post office. Canoeing and kayaking on the River Vienne are also available nearby.

**Chabanais – 6 km**

A welcoming town with restaurants, cafés, shops, a cash machine and a Super U supermarket.

**Confolens – 15 km**

A picturesque historic town on the River Vienne, known for its beautiful bridges, riverside terraces, shops and festivals.

**Saint-Junien**

A lively town with a wide range of shops and a lovely French atmosphere.

There is so much to discover in this beautiful part of France.

Visit La Vallée des Singes, the fascinating monkey park in Romagne, or enjoy an adventurous day at the treetop activity park near Lac de Vassivière.

Explore Limoges, famous for its porcelain, historic streets, shops and charming squares.

The surrounding area also offers castles, golf courses, fishing spots, traditional French markets, antique fairs and beautiful lakes.

For something a little different, try a vélo-rail experience, cycling along an old railway track through the countryside.

Food and wine lovers can discover regional specialities or take a day trip towards the famous Cognac region.

For those who enjoy the coast, the beautiful Atlantic seaside town of La Rochelle makes a lovely day trip.

Planning a family reunion or a holiday with several families?

Our three cottages — Chabanais, Rochechouart and Confolens — are located together and can accommodate **up to 13 guests in total**, subject to availability.

This allows families and friends to holiday together while enjoying the privacy and comfort of their own accommodation.

We do not accept bookings from groups of young people.
