„My wife and i stayed in cabin ten for three nights. We were wanting to find a quiet place to relax for a few days. We found exactly that! We drank a lot of the spring water and made excellent coffee with it. Our desires to find a place of rest in a quiet place was a complete success. Management supplied a great map of the area upon check in, showing places of interest in the area (including the famous spring on site). We went out to explore the area every day and relaxed in the cabin as well. ...

„The property is so beautiful. We walked the trails several times a day. Our dogs had a great vacation. They loved the freedom of the place. We heard the flying squirrels and were lucky enough to have one float past the window. Nearby we enjoyed the Grayson Highlands State Park. We did a short hike and got to see some wild ponies. The home is beautifully decorated and you can tell the owner wants you to have a great experience.“

„The cabin was a great place to stay while adventuring in Grayson Highlands State Park and riding down the Virginia Creeper bike trail. The setting is peaceful and we enjoyed watching deer and wild turkeys while sitting on the back deck. The cabin was clean and as described. We took the recommendations of the owner and bought basic groceries and had dinner in Lansing. We would recommend this cabin to friends and hope to return in the future!“

„Once we figured out the panel on the front door was the keypad that needed a firm touch when pressing the code, everything else was smooth sailing. Perfectly stocked with everything one would need for a getaway—all you need to bring is food and drinks. The large old Bible was a precious find, and I enjoyed leafing through that. „The cabin was very neat and well stocked with everything you might need in the kitchen. The natural wood finish inside gave it the feel of a cabin and the view of the mtn ridges was really nice. Part of the property was partly cleared off of trees which made it more open than expected but the leaves were still off the trees, it was March, so it will look more greener in the Spring. The numerous mountains and narrow valleys in the area were a pretty sight to see!“

„We loved our stay! It was very close to the Watauga trailhead which was a perfect ride for our kids (5, 7, 10) to Abingdon one day and Alvarado Station another. We all enjoyed the available games and the views were amazing! Kids loved the slide. House was clean, well appointed. Melissa responded to our questions immediately and was so helpful in planning our trip! 10/10 recommend this place!“

„Front desk was great. We were able to check in early and she was very sweet and helpful. The property itself was a little off putting. The floor in our room sloped and creaked under the carpet. Housekeeping couldn’t provide us a full roll of toilet paper and although the breakfast was thoughtful and varied, the eating room was much too small and crowded - overflow was directed to a guest room that had been converted to additional seating with table and chairs. “

"POSITIV Schönes, historisches Hotel im Zentrum der Kleinstadt Marion, VA Gemütliches, sauberes Zimmer mit historischem Charme. Freundliches Personal ZU VERBESSERN Auch als historisches Hotel würden einige Auffrischungen und Renovierungen nicht schaden. Gläser statt Plastikbecher auf dem Zimmer wäre toll. Gäste im Nebenzimmer durch Verbindungstür laut zu hören. Treppenstufen, um zur Lobby (ab dort Lift) zu kommen, bei schwerem Gepäck unbequem. Frühstück zwar kostenlos, aber viel zu einfach und nichts frisch, Frühstücksraum nicht schön. Klimaanlage im Zimmer sehr laut. "

"I don’t understand the positive feedbacks. The hotel is old and run down. In the gym, none of the equipment works properly. Sofa in room was torn in several places. Mirrors were really dirty. TV is old and picture quality is poor. I wouldn't stay here again"
