A lovely snowy week in a modern apartment with great views
This was our second stay at the 4 elements apartments. They are beautiful apartments, newly built with covered parking and in a great spot to access all this area has to offer. The owners Ian and Caroline were great in responding quickly to a few minor issues at the start of the week (on Christmas Eve!). The apartment is warm, spacious with large bathrooms and an abundant supply of hot water. We cooked quite a bit in the evenings and found everything we needed in the kitchen. Chatel is a very pretty village and it is easy to walk up from the apartment. There is a ski hire shop at Les Chalets d'Angeles over the road and the ski bus stops here too. You can go up the hill to access the Super Chatel area or down the hill to Linga (change here to access Pre La Joux and Avoriaz). We also drove over to Morgins and down to Chapelle d'Abondance, great areas when the snow is good. We enjoyed meals at Fiacre, Chesery, Refuge (amazing burgers), drinks and live music at The Avalanche Bar. A thoroughly enjoyable Christmas week!
