This house is perfect for a family or group seeking a fun, culinary and cultural vacation. Popular dining spots in the neighborhood include Xiao Bao Biscuit, Fuel, Porchetta Shop, Southbound, R Kitchen, Chubby Fish and many more! Our guests and neighbors also rave about Welton's Tiny Bakeshop and Kudu Coffee. We recommend going to either for a cup of locally-roasted coffee or their delicious cookies and cakes. The house is only a short walk from the very popular King Street where you will find a multitude of great shops – including antique shops, book stores and fashion boutiques – as well as endless buzzing restaurants and bars.

Getting Around:
You can walk almost everywhere - but should you want to rest your feet, there are many other options for getting around: Uber, Lyft, Charleston Bike Taxi, Charleston Rickshaw, Green Taxi or Yellow Cab.

Graduation family stay

Our family including a toddler stayed at the house and enjoyed our time there. The location is great with lots of walkable option.Do note that this spot is still in an up and coming neighborhood, but we felt safe there with our toddler and family walking in a group. The hosts were communicative and helpful and arranged a free bottle of wine through their local grocery partner. Island provisions down the street was great for coffee and I got my hair done last minute at the hair salon across the street. The decor was beautiful and got our group of 6 comfortably. Bonus was the plethora of hangers available in the closets for hanging clothes. Upstairs was a little on the warm side, which is expected in an older house, but fans and a split unit were provided in the rooms to help with that. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!

Cute, well appointed home in a great lobation. Lots of restaurants and attractions were walkable. Host was great with communication and responsiveness. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again!

This home is even more beautiful in person than it is in the photos. The furnishings are exquisite and the decor magazine perfect! The hosts supply everything you could possibly need and responded to all of my questions so quickly. I wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely be back next year.

Girls trip to Charleston

This property was a gem. We found it charming and a place for us to experience an older updated southern home. Plenty of room for all of us to spread out. Very convenient location near good restaurants we could easily walk to. The host was very responsive to our questions and we would definitely come back to this property on our next trip to Charleston

So FUN!!!

This property is an excellent location - walking distance to so many things - very safe neighborhood for a group of ladies. The house is very cool - lots of sitting areas - love the outdoor porches for morning coffee and a glass of wine in the afternoon. Excellent beds and linens. Modernized kitchen and bathrooms - plenty of glassware and dishes. Great communication with the host. A local market very close by to get basic essentials for your stay. This was our first visit to Charleston, and it was a fantastic weekend. Excellent food and so much to do! I would definitely recommend this home and would book again!

Convenient and Comfortable

Very comfortable property. It is well maintained and generally clean. Convenient to get to downtown and College of Charleston. The outdoor space was great for relaxing and enjoying warm evenings. Included parking made having a rental car really easy and convenient.

Good Location

Great long weekend in Charleston, SC. Old historic home with plenty of charm and the normal quirks that come with old historic homes. Plenty of room for our group of 6 but would easily accommodate more. Good location. Great coffee shop within walking distance. Off street parking which was great. Comfortable beds and pillows. Three different seating areas so that was cool too.. Overall house was clean, plenty of room, good location. Happy with our stay here.

Weekend trip

Very good location and the house was as described. The only issue with the location is it is extremely loud at night with street noise and college kids coming back from drinking. With an older house the noise just comes right in. Everyone was kept awake until the small hours Friday and Saturday. The kitchen needs a bit of restocking (e.g., there is only one butter knife). But overall very good.

Great getaway to Charleston!

We stayed for three nights and had plenty of space in this Charming house. We were working remotely in two separate parts of the house without any noise. The location is also nice for those wanting to get some steps in during the day. King Street shopping and restaurants are only 10 minutes way. Chubbies fish restaurant is only a few blocks away. The space is large enough for 2-3 couples. We will definitely be back again in future. Very clean with all the necessary accommodations you expect.

Historic with modern updates

I had a wonderful stay. The house has a lot of character with modern updates where needed including a modern kitchen. The house was in a good location. We were able to walk anywhere downtown. It was nice to have a driveway and not street parking although I would say there is room for one SUV or two very small cars. Overall, a great experience.

The house was amazing and beautifully decorated. It was fun walking through the house and discovering each room.There is allot of construction currently going on in this neighborhood and there is quite a bit of street noise, but this house is still a great place to stay and would highly recommend it.We were able to walk pretty much anywhere in the downtown area.

Historic Charm With Modern Updates

This home provided all of the modern amenities we needed and is in a great location. The kitchen with breakfast area and seating area provided enough space for family gathering and there were two additional living spaces plus a dining room. We were able to walk to several places and area attractions were an easy drive. Would definitely stay here again.

This property is great. The location was a nice starting point for exploring Charleston. We walked everywhere. You don't have to walk far to get good coffee and great pizza. King St is just a few blocks away for even more restaurants and lots of shopping. The house is lovely - very Charlestonian. Lots of space for our family (with teen boys) to spread out. Would stay here again.

Girl’s 70th Birthday Trip

The house was beautifully decorated and supplied with everything (and more) you could possibly need. We loved the character of the home along with all the retro modern decor. It had plenty of “common areas” for us to enjoy each other’s company or get away for some solitude. There was quite a bit of street noise but the provided fans and sound machines helped with that. We will definitely rent again and recommend to friends.
