"The room was adequate, though it felt like time had stopped in the 1980s. The furniture was dark and not very inviting, and the carpeted floor gave a somewhat worn impression. The shower was ok, and the Wi-Fi worked surprisingly well for such a remote location.
The rooms are poorly insulated, but the heating function of the air conditioning quickly warmed the space to a comfortable temperature on cold September nights. During our stay, the hotel appeared to be managed mostly remotely, with staff only on-site for limited hours. The much-praised restaurant was unfortunately closed, which was a bit disappointing. On the positive side, there are some lovely walking trails nearby, and Mallacoota is about a 30-minute drive away."
