We arrived to mold covering the couch, table, chairs & cabinets. Sheets were sandy, dead bugs on the floor and the ac was filter choked w dust. Nobody had walked thru this place in a while. I eventually realized they were using an AI program to message on the vrbo app so despite my thinking someone was working on a solution to my problem, a human being had yet to hear my issues until I finally got thru to the “emergency” line the next morning. They did send someone to clean up & after some negotiation agreed to cover 2 of our 3 nights stay. On day 2, we used the faucet outside the house to wash sand off of our feet & it leaked a couple gallons of water into the house. Cause of the mold issue? Once the place was clean it wasn’t too bad although a floor mat & dish brush/sponge would have been helpful to keep the place clean during our stay. Im not sure if the cleanliness is the owners responsibility or the mgmt company but hopefully this review will encourage a better job & hopefully keep anyone else from having the same experience we did. I would not have left this much of a detailed review if someone had just cared to call me to apologize & explain that this was a fluke. A phone call felt necessary considering one of my complaints was the frustration of fake sympathy from their AI messaging. Instead, all I got was more apologetic messages thru the vrbo app ironically, saying they understood my frustrations (yet still not calling me as I suggested multiple times).
