„This property was a 10 out of 10. The mountaintop view was amazing. We enjoyed the fire pit and the hot tub. The inside of the house was so beautiful and nicely decorated and one of the cleanest we have stayed in. I appreciated the book with all the instructions on the tv remotes and the hot tub. It also listed places to eat in the area along with menus. It was such a relaxing place and we can’t wait to visit again!“

„We absolutely loved our stay at Fernweh! The quiet, seclusion and peacefulness was just what we needed. Loved the hot tub while drinking my morning coffee and listening to the relaxing sounds of the river. „The property is ideally situated near the water fall - it is literally in the back yard to view. To hike to get a better look , you are short walk away from it and the scenic trails—once we parked, we didn’t feel the need to leave. It’s incredibly peaceful and serene, making it the perfect escape for a quiet weekend getaway. You can shop for groceries at the little downtown store or go to Fort Payne-if you need more variety. „This property was absolutely beautiful. This was an adventure stay for my wife and I as we explored nearby caves, hiking trails and waterfalls. It was so nice to relax at the end of a long day on the deck just enjoying the peace and quiet of nature along the lake. We especially enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the sunrise enjoying our coffee and watching the geese swim along in the lake. We will definitely book this location on our next trip to Mentone!“

„this is out 5th time booking this place and besides the always reasonable price, the remodeled cabin is the highlight. The isolation of the rental is idea for privacy .the communication with the rental owners really make things very easy , they are not robots , they genuinely care about you being comfortable. You can even speak to them before booking if you have questions. This time , we spent a lot of time around the fire pit outback , and it was extremely nice“
