-Once paid, pool heat needs to be pre-heated 24 hours before your desired date and it maintains heat from 7AM - 7PM on the succeeding dates desired, which would be perfectly warm through the night


Pet fee is $175 per pet. *if you are staying for over 14 days this fee will increase.

*Please note we are near the airport so you can periodically see or hear the planes. Which we and our guests find it more entertaining than distracting! (They do have a curfew).

**By City of Cathedral City Ordinance, the following are required to rent a short term rental in the city.

1. Primary renter must be at least 21 years of age.

2. Responsible party (primary renter) is required to sign a short term rental agreement (contract).

5. No more than 2 adults or children per bedroom (4 max) are allowed to occupy the home overnight with 2 additional guests allowed during daytime hours.

6. No more than 1 car per bedroom are allowed to be parked at the house overnight with 1 additional car allowed during daytime hours (2 cars max)

7. Trash must be kept in the provided receptacle out of public view.

8. Dogs are to be kept on a leash at all times when not in the home or in the confined space of the property. Dogs are to be kept from barking. A consistently barking dog is considered a nuisance.

9. Outdoor music is prohibited 24 hours per day. It is further expected that noise created at the home will not be audible beyond the property line. Quiet time is between 8pm and 8am.

All bookings made during Coachella, Stagecoach or other festivals will require a $500 refundable deposit. This deposit will be returned to you after you check out assuming there’s no damage or broken rules during your stay. If you choose to cancel your reservation prior to checking in, the $500 deposit will not be refunded. The remaining balance of the reservation will follow our cancellation policy.

**These rules are set forth by City Ordinance and apply to ALL rentals in the City of Cathedral City. They are intended to help create peaceful neighborhoods in which rentals exist.


DAMAGE INSURANCE FEE: All reservations are subject to an $89 Damage Protection Fee, which covers accidental damages incurred during the stay. This fee safeguards guests against additional charges for qualifying damages, providing a streamlined and worry-free experience.


During the summer the thermostat may be locked at a certain temp range and not able to go lower than that range. This is due to the extreme temperatures in the desert. We can’t allow thermostats to be set below this range or we risk the AC unit freezing entirely, and not working during your stay. We apologize in advance, but we can assure you that 72 or 74 degrees will feel AMAZING when it’s over 100 degrees outside.
Please note that pool cleaners come every Wednesday and Saturday to clean the pool, so please don't be alarmed if you see them during your stay.

Pros: EXCELLENT customer service, easy front door access, two car garage, located in beautiful and quiet gated neighborhood at the Desert Princess, beautiful views, great shower, comfortable beds, close to Palm Springs, able to use both gates on each end of property, nearby grocery store and restaurants, many community pools and spas, close to gas & freeway, clean upon arrival, remodeled nicely. Cons: Very warm house upon arrival, no Kuerig, Coffee maker provided but no coffee filters or coffee provided, ants in pantry, garbage disposal didn’t work, remote for living room ceiling fan didn’t work, no live tv, streaming TV very difficult to connect, no control over temperature of house(nothing below 74 ) or pool w/limited sun, paid extra money to heat the pool, but never felt like it was heated and never felt heating coming into the pool, pool often dirty because of the wind, beautiful ducks and geese on property, but every 20 to 30 minutes employee was shooting at them to scare them away, near the airport so lots of air traffic, located next to an open field with a sign saying, beware of snakes. Never saw a snake, but it definitely put us on edge. Gave three stars (average) as an overall rating as the home is very lovely and the customer service is excellent, but the house just wasn’t a good fit for us

Marilyn’s at Desert Princess not for elderly folks

Showers were not safe for elderly with balance issues. Need grab bar. Ditto for toilet area and getting into pool, hot tub. Pool and hot tub need working lights in water. Duck poop (lots) all over pool deck on arrival. Needed to clean up ourselves. Ice maker inoperable. But great just being in desert anyway. Feel lucky to have been there. Grew up in Palm Springs and always a joy to return. Scott
