Looking for an ocean front condo get-a-way to enjoy those painted beach sunrises and salty evening breezes? "A touch of Paradise" may be just the home away from home you are looking for! "A touch of Paradise" is a two bedroom cozy condo with front row sea sights, sounds, and experiences. The complex is equipped with its own communal large pool, BBQ area, huge backyard, and your own private beach access to make our guests time beach-combing and sun-seeking an Ocean BREEZE!

Pleasure Island (Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, and Fort Fisher) has become a RAPIDLY increasing vacation (and full-time!) destination for the East coast and beyond for many reasons. It’s a family-oriented beach with a touch of everything one might be looking for! It’s an AMAZING place to visit, live, and never leave!

The home is in the heart of Carolina Beach and moderate walking distance to downtown and everything that it has to offer. In Carolina Beach you’ve got the boardwalk, restaurants, and local shops of all kinds. If you like adventures, the marina is also there where you can take an offshore fishing trip, diving excursion, or party boat out for a sunset sail. Camping more your thing? Bring the 4X4 and drive (and camp) on the beach at Freeman Park, located on the North End of the island.

"A touch of Paradise" beach condo suite 24A walks you up (or use the onsite elevator!) 3 stilted flights and opens up to a layout consisting of two comfortable bedrooms (one Queen in the master and two Twin's in the second bedroom) along with a Queen size auto-inflating living room pull out if requiring just a bit more guest space.

A galley kitchen rests just off the living room and dining area while the entirety of the condo overlooks a panoramic expanse of our Atlantic Ocean. The kitchen is stocked will all the basic cooking and dining utensils one can expect (plates, bowls, cups, silverware, etc.). In addition, there is a microwave, toaster, coffer maker and blender ready to help make yourself at home (while on Vacay!).

A few of the amenities provided by your Owners include courtesy large shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel left in the bathroom of each bath as well. Also, a roll of TP in each bathroom, 1 roll of PT in the kitchen, 2 garbage bags per garbage, laundry pods, dishwasher pods, dryer sheets, hand soap, dish soap, a sponge, coffee, tea, and pure cane sugar in each kitchen. Additional items are likely on sight as well!

The living room boasts a large sliding door where you can watch the pelicans roost and waves crash without moving an inch.A TV and WIFI connection will ensure you stay briefly connected with the outside world before heading back to hunt for the perfect shell. You'll find a Smart TV is each bedroom to enjoy your personal subscriptions and accounts just like home!

The unit's ONE QUEEN bed, ONE QUEEN pullout, and TWO TWIN bed's consist of either a plush luxury mattress or a new encased 8” memory foam/cooling gel composition mattress because we want all of our guests to be comfortable when it comes time to recharge (*the Queen pull out is an air mattress).

The outdoor shower is located outside in the pool area to help get that sand off of those toes!

Guest access

The SUITE: Guests have full access to their own private SUITE (never shared).

The POOL: The SHARED onsite elevator, pool, and communal beach access are available for all guests to use. **OPEN!!!**

PARKING: Each reservation will have access to (2) TWO un-assigned off street parking spaces (the parking passes MUST be visible to avoid an accidental tow). There is a $50 replacement cost if not left at check-out.

I will be available for check-in and general assistance until 8PM EST. Anything with the exception of an emergency (ie. flood, fire, or another *safety* related risk sent to Maintenance) will be responded to ASAP the following day :)

Pleasure Island is a coastal barrier island in Southeastern North Carolina, USA just south of the City of Wilmington. Pleasure Island is located within Federal Point Township, in New Hanover County. The coastal resort towns of Carolina Beach and Kure Beach, as well as the annexed communities of Wilmington Beach and Hanby Beach are located on the island. The home itself is short ride or long walk from Downtown Carolina Beach.

Carolina Beach is a mix of friendly locals, snowbirds, and vacationers all looking to escape the inland and enjoy the sand, surf, and sun. We truly have an amazing community! Carolina Beach and the surrounding neighborhoods offer an array of sights and activities to enjoy while here. Some of these examples are (but not limited to) a subtle beach hike through Carolina Beach State Park, Fishing on the Kure Beach Pier, kayaking to one of the many islands surrounding the Intracoastal Waterway, watching canons blast during a historical reenactment at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site, or petting some Sting Rays at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher. This doesn’t even include the aweing scenery of Airlie Gardens, and our very own battleship (USS NC) in Wilmington! Perhaps more relaxing and less “adventure” is your speed? Our own local Brewery (Good Hops) along with a round of Frisbee golf may be what the doctor ordered!

There isn’t anywhere or anything on our Island that isn’t accessible with foot power. Downtown Carolina Beach has several vendors such as Tony Silvagni’s Surf School @ 308 S Lake Park Blvd, Carolina Beach, NC 28428 (bicycles, paddleboards, surfboards, kayaks, chairs, and umbrellas) for rent as an alternative to walking or driving. There's Sun Fun Rentals @1204 N Lake Park Blvd Unit F Carolina Beach, NC 28428. Taxi’s (local golf cart taxi’s) and Uber’s are also generally available for an assist when needed as well throughout the island! You can catch a Ferry to Southport in Kure Beach @ 2422 Fort Fisher Blvd S Kure Beach which leads to another ferry to Bald Head Island where NO CARS are allowed at all!

After all, you won’t catch many locals going OTB! (Over The Bridge). Everything you need is right here!

•Linens
(Sheets, bath towels, wash cloths pillowcases, wash cloths, bathmats) ARE included as part of the rental here (excluding beach towels which can be rented through scrubandgo@griffinscleaning dot org. If requiring extra or non-included linens, please reach out to Griffin Cleaning Services who is a partner with SWRE and will assist in any way possible! Please make sure all linens are placed in the basket or hamper before your departure! Please let all BED LINENS on the beds remain on the beds for our TEAM to take care of! •The Town of Carolina Beach offers multiple public parking options to visitors and residents on a FIRST COME-FIRST SERVE basis. Town-operated parking is open year round and paid parking is enforced March 1st - October 31st from 9AM - 8PM. Parking fees restart each morning during enforcement hours for all of the Town's parking lots and on-street parking spaces.

GOLF CARTS

•To the county, golf carts are considered automobiles. Generally speaking, golf carts are NOT allowed on premises of ANY condo, condotel, or apartment. The same goes for trailers, motorcycles, etc. For SFR’s or properties supporting multiple vehicles, carts should be OK. However, be conscious that few homes have external outlets WITHOUT GFCI’S (which are code by today’s standards). Charging a cart on a GFCI will immediately trip the breaker, resulting in the inability to charge a cart amongst other repercussions. Gas carts will generally be the ideal rental option if in a home whose parking supports such.
•ALL suites are non-smoking (including vaping) and a heavy cleaning/repair charge can result if not adhered to. This includes porches, decks, balconies, and walkways.

•NO BBQing on ANY decks or porches. This is a huge fire hazard and is fineable by the town (as is removing batteries from any smoke or co2 alarms). We work extremely hard to keep all our guests safe, and sometimes that takes teamwork!

•Please always consider TRAVEL INSURANCE from your respective booking site or vendor to help protect your costs in case of inclement weather or last-minute travel complications (court, illness, etc.). These items are NOT refundable scenarios unless the property itself is compromised. If that does happen, we will do our absolute best to find you alternative housing.
- 21 minimum age to book.

- Quiet hours after 9PM due to being family oriented.

Went up for a wedding with my wife and two small kids and the room was perfect, but the view was absolutely breathtaking. The neighborhood was very quiet and everyone around the town was so polite and nice. We will definitely be back in the area for a vacation and we will definitely stay at this property...pending availability of course.

Dale, our property manager was the best Ive ever dealt with in 35 years of renting beach properties in NC. Carolina Beach has a great professional beach town vibe. 2 best places to eat are both at Kure Pier; the Ocean View and Jack Mackerals, serving breakfast and dinner respectively.

After my daughter helped me figure out to use the keypad on door instead of using lockbox on wall our trip was perfect! Very clean. Seems fairly new or recently painted. View from deck is awesome. Elevator and luggage carts/shopping carts to help get all your stuff up in fewer trips. Kitchen well stocked with dishes and cookware. Would definitely stay here again!

We loved our stay! It is a perfect well stocked condo, just as advertised! The location, view and beach are perfect! The morning sunrise on the porch is amazing! Very quick and helpful response from Dale, the property manager as well. My only negative was the pool was not open. the listing said TBD, but when I typed in my dates it said OPEN in capital letters. The pool was full and looked amazing, but it had a padlock on it the whole week. We were there in April. We spent our week on the beach, so all was well! :) Will definitely make a return trip! 😎

This is late to post but I wanted to say that our week was amazing. The unit was nice, it had all that we needed. The tiki bar next door is a gem to have right there. Highly recommended option to rent.

The room was very nice and had plenty of room. We did however have issues with the TV in the master bedroom not working, the dryer would not work, and the small bathroom had a small issue. Overall, we went for rest and relaxation and that is what we got.

Three ladies wanted to get some rest and relaxation with the calmness of the ocean in the background. The condo was very spacious and had all the necessities. The master bedroom's bathroom fan could use a little attention, but overall the place was clean and positioned just right for us. We would definitely return and get the same condo. Oceanfront is the way to go. Furniture on the balcony was perfect addition.

We really enjoyed ourselves at “A Touch of Paradise”. The view was amazing. The condo was appointed just right….casual. beachy and clean. We were a couple in our upper 60’s and a family member close to 80 so it was very nice to have the elevator. Very easy to move in for a week of fun at Carolina Beach.

Location, space, and amenities were all as described and worth it for the price. We have stayed in the Sea Colony complex before but this was the first time in this unit. Being a few steps to the beach made coming to and from easier, and the pool is a huge plus with kids. Condo had everything we needed and was very clean.

Pros: Great view and deck Stocked with more items than listed in the amenities Great communication with host; super fast responses. Would definitely recommend renting from him! No issues with bugs/creatures Fairly quiet Easy drive to restaurants/groceries Cons: Not as fresh/new looking as the pictures Master bed was miserable to sleep on. Outdoor shower is locked inside pool area so you have to remember to bring the pool key to the beach if you want to rinse off. Sheets are rough, so I'd recommend bringing your own. Towels are small. I would stay here again if the price was a bit lower. I was expecting newer/nicer based on the pictures, but it wasn't a huge disappointment. It's a comfortable size for a family of 4, and the ocean view is definitely the key feature. It was definitely clean, but the bathroom tile grout and baseboards were stained making it feel dirty. The entire unit is definitely dated, but overall, it's not bad.

Two days before I was to arrive I was told the sliding glass door did not work so there was no access to the deck. It had just happened. The owner gave me choices. I chose to stay anyway and the owner compensated me for the loss of use of the deck. The condo is well situated with great views of the ocean. And the owner is Great.

We enjoyed panoramic top floor views of Carolina Beach. The kitchen was well equipped and washer and dryer worked well. Queen bed was comfortable. Elevator with carts for moving your stuff up. Several restaurants within walking distance and Publix about 5 minutes away. Great communication with property manager. We would definitely return!

Brilliant! One of our party got up every morning to watch the sunrise. Well stocked, we had a small Thanksgiving dinner which we basically prepared before we went but they have everything for cooking at the condo. Have absolutely no complaints!

Rented this for a short stay on family vacation. My son is 10 and it was first time to the beach that he can remember! He loved the view and loved every minute. Dale was great with fast communication although we had 0 complaints or issues! Would definitely recommend and stay again!
