Expansive distant ocean views and stunning sunsets can be enjoyed from the living room windows which cover the entire west side of the house.

From the Redwood board and batten siding to the redwood interior ceilings and walls, this eclectic home will delight guests with its bohemian old-Carmel charm. Full of vintage details, art and furnishings as well as modern conveniences like wifi, cable TV and a dishwasher, this whimsical cottage has the best of all worlds.

Lucy's Treehouse is located an easy stroll to downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea restaurants, shops and other attractions, and is an excellent home base from which to explore everywhere from Santa Cruz to Big Sur.

Living Space
The home has a reverse floor plan where the living areas are all upstairs to take advantage of the distant ocean views.
Enter into the upper level where the warm living room and its accouterments will capture your fancy and transport you to the yesteryear of Carmel. Fun groupings of art, figurines, artifacts and collectibles are on full display through the home. Well-equipped for extended stays!

Kitchen and Dining
The full kitchen is well-equipped with dishware, modern appliances and small appliances for the chef in you. Enjoy meals at the adjacent dining table or out in the enclosed porch where a live tree rises from the floor and exits through the roof above.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Venture down the narrow redwood staircase to find the bedrooms and bathrooms on the level below.
Bedroom #1 has a California king bed and an en suite bathroom with a standing shower. The new fixtures make everything feel fresh while the charm of yesteryear is maintained in so many details. Exit directly into the garden through an enclosed sun porch / storage area off this room.
Bedroom #2 has two twin beds, and Bedroom #3 has a single twin bed and direct access outside.
The hall bath has a shower-over-tub combination and a new vanity.

Please note that there are quite a few stairs on this property and that both bathrooms are on the lower level near the bedrooms while the living areas are on the upper level.

The stacking washer and dryer are in a small closet inside Bedroom #1.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome with pre-approval, an additional pet fee and a signed pet addendum.
Dogs should never be left alone anywhere on the property.

One covered parking space is available just off the street.

Please be aware that Lucy's Treehouse is situated behind a small detached cottage called Apple Tree Cottage where a quiet, long-term tenant resides. The two cottages are very separate and your privacy will be assured.

This home is a monthly rental and we request that all nights of your stay are within the same calendar month. Some exceptions may be possible, with the approval of our team and the homeowner. Extended stays are often possible.
