„The property is 400 yrs old so expect things to be uneven. The current owners have only been there a few years so maybe they still have work to do. The bedrooms are described on the website as "stylish "....I would say plain. The bedding was clean, bathroom ok but it was difficult to get the shower to the right temperature...it was either boiling or cold. Room 5 had a frosted window but it was hot so we had it open. The room could do with a slight update....e.g. more plug sockets and a bigger ...

„The beautiful setting and views of the river Severn were wonderful. The staff were always extremely helpful and welcoming. The bedroom was very comfortable and clean. The breakfasts and evening meals were of very good quality. It was our first visit to Shropshire and we would certainly come back to the Riverside Inn which was perfectly situated for day trips to Shrewsbury, Ironbridge and David Austin Roses, among other places.“

„Stayed one night at the Shrewsbury rooms from start to finish everything was great we stayed in room one on ground floor well the decor the cleanliness everything was lovely would definitely stay here again. „What a wonderful local pub that is dog friendly. The owners / managers and the staff were friendly, helpful and nothing too much. Chatty locals. Locally sourced super home cooked food and locally brewed IPA. Clun is a nice village for a wander around after dinner. Last minute booking before rally driving would definitely visit again“

„We were attending a gig a Ludlow Castle, most accommodation was booked or expensive at Ludlow for the night of the gig so we chose to stop at Stokestay Hotel because there was a train station close that we could catch there and back. The Stokesay staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and tidy, breakfast was excellent and bar prices good so we would not hesitate to stop there again.“

„Das Zimmer war sehr sauber. Das Bett war sehr bequem mit dicker Zudecke. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war in Ordnung. Dass Parkplätze vorhanden sind, habe ich erst zu spät bemerkt. Der Fernseher hing sehr wackelig an der Wand - die Wandbefestigung war zum Teil herausgebrochen. Die Zimmertür nach draußen dichtet nicht sehr gut ab, so dass man alles von draußen hört - insbesondere zu Restaurantzeiten die Küchengeräusche. Das liegt auch mit an den Luftschlitzen über der Tür, die nicht zuzumachen ...
