ABOUT THE PROPERTY
Unit A offers a comfortable home base for a beach getaway, couples' escape, family vacation, or long weekend in Cape Charles.

You'll enjoy:

A portable baby monitor is available upon request and subject to availability. Because we have one shared between our two units, please request it in advance so we can confirm availability.

Our local co-host is available throughout your stay should you need assistance.

GUEST ACCESS
Guests have private access to the entire first-floor unit through a separate entrance with convenient self check-in via keypad.

You'll also have exclusive use of the front porch and private screened porch, along with access to the backyard patio, which is shared with guests staying in Unit B.

Unit A is accessed by four exterior steps.

GETTING AROUND
The Little Retreat is conveniently located in Cape Charles' Historic District, just two blocks from Central Park and approximately six blocks from the public beach. Local shops and restaurants are also within walking distance.

Many guests enjoy exploring town on foot, while a golf cart is a fun and convenient way to get around, especially when bringing gear to the beach. Golf carts are available to rent locally and are popular during peak season, so we recommend reserving one early if you'd like to have one during your stay. An outdoor extension cord is available for convenient golf cart charging at the property, subject to availability. If used, please return the cord to its designated location when finished and be sure it is not returned with your rental golf cart.

Free street parking is available.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW
The Little Retreat is a two-story duplex, and Unit A is the downstairs accommodation. When the units are reserved separately, another group may be staying directly above you in Unit B.

As with many older homes, sound can travel between floors, including footsteps, voices, and other everyday activity. We ask guests in both units to be considerate of one another, particularly during quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Guests who are especially sensitive to noise may wish to keep this in mind when booking.

Families are welcome. The home is not fully childproofed, and children should be supervised at all times.

For added peace of mind, the unit is equipped with smart water leak sensors beneath the kitchen and bathroom sinks and temperature monitoring devices. These systems help us quickly identify unexpected maintenance issues and do not record audio or video.

HOUSE RULES
• Maximum occupancy is 4 registered guests. No parties, events, or large gatherings.
• Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be considerate of other guests and our neighbors.
• No smoking or vaping inside the home or screened porch.
• Check-in begins at 4:00 PM and check-out is by 10:00 AM. Early check-in is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
• Please treat the home, furnishings, and amenities with care. Guests are responsible for damage beyond normal wear and tear.
