Conversing on the balcony and looking out across wooded hills to the Mediterranean is a holiday in itself. Easy access through the Alpes Maritimes to historic hilltop villages like Gourdon; or through the stunning Gorges du Loup to explore medieval towns such as Le Bar, Tourrettes sur Loup, Vence, with their splendid markets, coffee houses, restaurants. Easy run in to Cannes and Antibes to savour city environments and seaside coffee houses and restaurants. I was pleased to return to a high and relatively cooler home but still warm enough to swim in the pool. Terraces of flowery gardens, including a lawn to sit or play on; in my case to sit and enjoy the rich array of trees. Home from home in the well-appointed and comfortable lounge. Great entertainment provided by a fine selection of videos - fiction and non-fiction. An excellent stock of food and drinks provided for us as specially requested. Plenty of rooms. The one we had was elegant, having all necessary facilities of high quality. In this noise-free environment, sleep came easily. The view from the window facing south provided a heart-warming hello to each morning. On arrival, Penny was present to give a very warm welcome and advise on where to go, what best to see and how best to get there. She remained in touch through WhatsApp if we needed further help. On departure, she was present again to check on how things had gone and wish us au revoir. With this kind of venue and hospitality, we will certainly be back again, bringing a younger family with us next time. Heartily recommended.
