Inside Space

Doc's Cabin is a two-story cabin that has hosted one family's mountain weekends for years, and it still feels that way — a real family cabin, furnished and lived-in, not a staged rental. The main floor holds the living room with its fireplace, the remodeled and updated kitchen, the king bedroom, and two full bathrooms. Upstairs is where the group spreads out: three more bedrooms, a third full bath, and enough beds for everyone to stop negotiating.

Kitchen + Dining

A full kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a separate dining room and table with room for the whole group. Groceries are a mountain drive away — stock up in Springville or Porterville on the way in, and the kitchen will carry you the rest of the week.

Bedrooms

-Bedroom 1 (main floor): King bed. The easy-access room — no stairs.
-Bedrooms 2–4 + Loft (upstairs): Three queen beds, one full bed, and two twin-over-twin bunks (four twins) across the three rooms, plus a sofa bed on the upper floor.

Bathrooms

Three full bathrooms — two on the main floor, one upstairs with the bedrooms.

Outside Space

Goodan Court is a quiet cul-de-sac in the pines and cedars of Camp Nelson, at roughly 4,800 ft elevation in the Sequoia National Forest. The deck handles slow mornings, the grill handles dinner, and the fire pit handles the hour after — evenings run cool even in summer, and the stars run the show.

The entire cabin is yours. Enter through the front door with a smart-lock keypad — your personal code arrives before check-in. Two closets (laundry area and near the main-floor bedroom) are locked for owner storage, and the garage/shed is not part of the rental. Everything else is open to you.

Self check-in, so arrive on your own schedule. Our local team lives and works in these mountains and is a message away through the app — quick to respond, happy to point you toward a trail, and nearby if anything needs attention.

This is a two-story cabin. The king bedroom and two baths are on the main floor; the other three bedrooms are up a flight of stairs.
Mountain roads: Highway 190 is a winding mountain highway. In winter, carry chains and check road conditions before you drive up. Download offline maps — cell service fades on the mountain.
Cell service is limited in Camp Nelson [confirm: carrier detail]. The cabin has WiFi [confirm: note WiFi calling if needed].
This is bear country. Keep food out of vehicles, keep trash bagged and tied inside the bins, and keep doors closed. The bears are not shy.
Pets: Welcome with prior approval — $40 per pet, per night. Not on furniture, not left uncrated and unattended. Service animals always welcome, no fee.
Quiet hours: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM. Goodan Court is a small, quiet street with year-round neighbors.
