"Nice house in quiet mountain village. Close to Sotres and Cares which can be reached by car, local bus, or walking. Host was helpful in providing local information. There is no Wi-Fi in the house, but we were able to join our hosts network, sitting on the bench outside their house a short walk away."

"We chose this house because of the location. It is quite remote, in a very small hamlet about 10km up narrow roads. Villaviciosa is a lovely small town and worth a walk around. The hamlet of Piedrafita is exactly that, a hamlet. We were hugely disappointed that the local bar/eatery had suffered a fire and was out of action for the foreseeable. That was a shame because it was only a couple of hundred meters away from our accommodation. The nearest place to eat is a 20 minute walk to the next...

"A stunning area to explore with amazing beaches, rivers, mountains and walks. Ramon was a brilliant owner who spent ages talking us through places to go and visit. The house was small but very clean, maybe the bed could be a bit bigger but the Jacuzzi bath was amazing after a day exploring!"

"We really enjoyed our stay at the apartment, and found it was a great place to explore the Picos de Europa and surrounding area. October was a great time to come, warm but not too hot to walk in the mountains. The apartment was warm and cosy. there was five of us, which it slept comfortably, but there could have been more comfy seating for all of us for the evenings. If a light sleeper, sleep in the back room as the church bell rings very loudly on the hour and every half an hour! The bar, where...

"Pas cher mais entretien et insonorisation médiocre ( le bruit de la cascade est gênant quand on n a pas l habitude pour nous qui habitons à la campagne sans aucun bruit...) et le simple vitrage ne sert à rien. "Great place. Historic building dating back several hundred years, very tastefully now a Parador. Everything was immaculate, staff were great. Excellent wine @4 euro per glass. Breakfast was amazing.
