Ricardo House is a restored traditional Madeiran house with a private swimming pool, jacuzzi, air conditioning, garden and parking, ideal for families and groups of up to four people.
The house is located in a quiet rural area with sweeping views of the sea and surrounding farmland.
The house has 106 m² and consists of two floors.
On the upper floor, there is an open-plan area with a double bed (1.6 x 2.0 m) and a desk, as well as a spacious bathroom and a balcony.
On the ground floor there is a bedroom with a double bed (1.6 x 2.0 m), a spacious bathroom, a living room with a sofa bed, a dining area and a kitchen.
Outside, there is a lush garden, a barbecue with an outdoor dining area, a pergola with a seating area by the pool and a jacuzzi on the balcony with stunning views.
It is equipped with air conditioning, a small dishwasher, washing machine, refrigerator, stove, microwave and other utensils, as well as bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi (200 Mbps), TV with international channels, and other amenities to provide a pleasant and relaxing stay.
LOCATION
The property is located in a rural area 2.5 km from Calheta village, where there is a sandy beach and several restaurants and cafés.
Calheta is situated in the southwest part of the island, which has the best climatic conditions in Madeira.
A few kilometres away, there are impressive cliffs, mountains and Laurissilva forest for nature lovers and hikers.
In the vicinity, it is possible to practice various outdoor activities, such as hiking, paragliding, mountain biking, surfing, fishing and other water sports.
There is a restaurant and a café about 750 metres away. There is also a small supermarket 750 metres away.
OBSERVATIONS
A car is recommended for this location.
Free parking is available on the property or on the street.
As some roads in Madeira are steep and narrow, smaller vehicles with powerful engines are recommended.
The pool is not heated, but it is open all year round and can be used whenever weather conditions are favourable.
As it is a rural area, there is potential for noise caused by dogs and other domestic animals on neighbouring properties.
Due to the climate, there are also insects and lizards in the rural surroundings, which may be attracted by food scraps. For those who do not feel comfortable with the presence of insects and lizards, we do not recommend accommodation in a rural area.
Cleaning is done before guests' arrival and there is a weekly maintenance cleaning, which includes changing bed linen and towels.
To take care of the garden and pool maintenance, periodically some authorised workers may access the property.
An increase in the number of guests implies a price increase of up to 10% per person.
CONDITIONS
1. Parties and behaviours that disturb the peace and well-being of neighbours are not permitted, especially between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM when neighbourhood noise is prohibited.
2. An online check-in form will be sent to collect essential identification data for check-in, arrival time and mode of transport, which must be submitted by guests at least two days before arrival.
3. For in-person check-in, scheduling is required and the waiting time is 60 minutes, after which a new time slot may be scheduled according to our availability.
4. Guests may be asked to present an identification document upon arrival and provide missing identification data to comply with legal requirements.
5. Any breakages, incidents or cleaning failures must be reported as soon as they are detected so they can be verified and addressed in a timely manner during the stay. Problems reported late with the mere intention of obtaining a refund will not be considered.
6. Guests must inform about allergies, constraints or special needs before or immediately after the booking to verify compliance and take appropriate measures.
