Welcome to the 'Casita' at Matambu. A charming 1-bedroom, 1 bathroom studio nestled in the heart of Costa Rica, offering an authentic Costa Rican experience. Guest can further enrich their stay with the use of the shared kitchenette and pool and enjoy the tropical landscape this property provides.

Our cozy 'Casita' is adorned with wood accents, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Natural sunlight fills the space, perfect for freshening up after the beach and relaxing before enjoying the pool. This room remains naturally cool with the help of the fan, ensuring a comfortable stay. There's a private bathroom in the room.

Outside, you'll discover a lush tropical garden teeming with life, boasting towering banana, papaya, and majestic mango trees. Dive into the refreshing waters of our lovely pool or unwind in the cozy lounge area surrounded by greenery and wildlife. There is a shared kitchenette, al fresco style.

Immerse yourself in the tropical lifestyle with just a 15-minute drive to Playa Grande beach, renowned for its fantastic eateries, world-class surfing, and proximity to Las Baulas National Park, a haven for leatherback turtle nesting. For those seeking additional adventure, the vibrant town of Tamarindo is just a 20-minute drive away, offering a plethora of amenities and activities to explore. Venture 15 minutes north and discover the famous Conchal Beach, renowned for its unique shoreline made of tiny white shells and turquoise waters.

This complex, Matambu, is in the perfect location for those that love to explore the area. It is 15-20 mins to a handful of beaches, some quite secluded! About 15 minutes away from Playa Grande, which is developing into a nice community with great surf, restaurants, and other amenities. 15 minutes the other way takes you to Playa Brasilito and Playa Conchal. 20 minutes out takes you to Tamarindo, Playa Piratas, Playa Puerto Viejo, and other nice gems.

It is highly recommended that guests have their own transport so that they can explore various areas outside of Matapalo.

We have 1) an additional 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom studio, 2) a private 2-bedroom option with its own kitchen, 3) a private 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom house with own kitchen, or4) rent the entire property 6 bedrooms in total. Inquire within for these options.

*Construction being done Sept 15-Nov 15 for the rancho. The rancho area will be off limits during this time. Prices reflect the inconvenience that may be experienced during this period*

•⁠ ⁠No more than the registered # of guests
- guests can have up to 2 visitors during the day only until 7pm
•⁠ ⁠Only listed guests are allowed to stay past 7:00 pm.
•⁠ ⁠Please respect check out time. We have recently had guests overstaying the posted check out time affecting the next reservation. In such cases, we will be charging 60% of the last night's rate.
•⁠ ⁠Please note that there is an additional charge of $40 per towel (bath or pool), $25 per hand towel and/or washcloth and $100 per sheet set for lost, damaged and/or stained items.
•⁠ ⁠In the case of lost keys guests will be charged $25 for replacement.
