Pure freedom on a sailing Surla Houseboat , fully equipped, 100% ecological and self-sufficient for the ultimate holiday feeling! Luxury, comfort and respect for nature come together. We welcome you as our guest on our sustainable Surla houseboat to create beautiful memories with this unique experience. Surla takes care of mooring the houseboat on open water or in the harbour (sloop incl.) (depending on the weather and no rights can be derived from this).

The Surla Houseboat is 15 meters long and 6 meters wide. A total area of ​​84m2 excluding the roof terrace. The living room and kitchen are 25m2, and equipped with 3 large sliding doors, so you always have a phenomenal view.

There is a spacious living room with a couch, dining table, tv, pellet stove and sliding doors to the front terrace with outdoor chairs. The open plan kitchen is fully equipped with an induction cooker, fridge, oven, dishwasher, kettle and Nespresso coffee machine. There`s also a table-top freezer in the utility room. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, sink and a (dry) toilet. There are 2 bedrooms on the houseboat. Two bedrooms with hotel beds (1.80 x 2.00m), especially designed for Surla Houseboats. And a nice bunk bed for children in the hallway with a sliding door in front a bunk bed (0.90 x 2.00m). Via outside stairs you can go to the spacious rooftop terrace (24m2) where`s a lounge set to enjoy beautifull sunrises and sunsets. Last but not least: on the back terrace is a warm outdoor shower, great after a swim.

Our Houseboats are built sustainably and are 100% self-sufficient. We have ingenious systems on board that allow you to recreate without going on shore power, and we also have filter systems that mean we don`t have to have water tanks on board.
We are guests on the water and have done everything possible to implement 100% off-grid and ecologically responsible solutions.

Surla has check-in hosts available at various locations. These hosts will welcome you and guide you to the houseboat. It is nice for our hosts that you indicate early what your expected arrival time is. You will receive the host`s telephone number in the instructions. You will receive this via email a week before arrival.

You can park your car in the verge at Huigsloterdijk 355 in Buitenkaag. Do not drive directly to this residential address, but park for free along the water in the verge.

In the summer period (from March to October) the boat is moored off grid on the Kagerplassen. A beautiful location in the middle of nature. You must sail to the houseboat with a tender. Our host will guide you in this. The tender is included in the rent.

Before arrival:
Check-in time is between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Earlier or later check-in is not possible.

Park your car on the roadside in Buitenkaag.

The host will receive you at this place and guide you to the boat. You are kindly requested to inform the host of your expected arrival time. Our host is also available during your stay for questions or emergencies.

The boat is moored in a quiet marina during the winter period from November to March. It is not allowed to organize parties here.

REMARK:
Surla rents several boats at different locations. The location, the floor plan of the boat and the interior in the photos may differ from the actual houseboat. All our houseboats were built in 2022-2023.

Swimming diplomas are highly recommended. We will not recommend the houseboat for people with mobility problems. (in winter we do not recommend swimming)

We advise you to do the necessary shopping before boarding.

There are cameras outside at the front and back of the boat, looking out. They are disabled when guests rent.
1) Check-in / Check-out: Check-in is after 3:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM.

2) Quiet Hours: 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please keep indoor and outdoor noise to a minimum during these hours.

3) No Parties or Events: Our home is suitable for relaxing stays only. Unregistered guests are not permitted on the property without prior approval.

4) Non-Smoking: Smoking, vaping, or using e-cigarettes inside is strictly prohibited.

5) Care & Safety: Please turn off heating/cooling units and lock all doors and windows whenever you leave the property.

6) Trash & Cleanliness: Please place bagged rubbish in the outdoor bins provided before departure and wash any used dishes.

7) Damage Reporting: Accidents happen—please let us know right away if anything breaks so we can fix or replace it quickly.
