Gut: Sauberkeit, Ausstattung und Zustand der Unterkunft
The staff was friendly and the hotel itself was very clean. There are some noticeable signs of wear and tear in the rooms, but overall the property is well maintained. The Chandelier Bar was excellent and a highlight of my stay.
However, there were a few areas that could be improved.
As a solo traveler coming from California into snowy weather conditions, the lack of bellman or luggage assistance was challenging. Navigating snow and managing luggage alone would have been much easier with some form of support service available.
On my first night, I experienced a significant shower door leak that flooded part of the bathroom floor. I reported it the following morning and was moved to another room. While I appreciate that the room change was accommodated, there was no acknowledgment or apology for the inconvenience.
Additionally, I happened to be staying over Valentine’s Day. All restaurants and bar dining areas were set up exclusively for couples with a fixed menu. As a solo traveler, there were no flexible dining options available that evening, which made it difficult to simply grab a bite to eat. It would be helpful to consider maintaining at least one casual or flexible dining option for guests traveling alone.
Overall, there were positives to the stay, but these improvements would significantly enhance the guest experience.
